rania
I have done the pre-intallation part where I had Download the osCommerce release package, Extract the package to a temporary directory, Connect to the web server with an FTP client, Copy the "catalog" directory to the web server document path, and done wth the pre-installation configuration and follow the installation procedure. Next Ive tried to follow wth the web based configuration procedure where I have to go to http://www.my-server.com/osCommerce/ which i replace it wth http://www.xyz.com/osCommerce/. but it says tht the webpage cannot be found. What should I do to fix the problem?

What should I do? Stop multiple posting your problem. You copied the catalog directory to http://www.xyz.com/ thus you would go to http://www.xyz.com/catalog/
rania
I get what you are trying to say. I have copied the catalog directory to http://www.xyz.com/ yadayadayada... The thing is, this is for the pre-installation part which i had follow the procedure from this page http://www.oscommerce.info/kb/osCommerce/I...and_Upgrades/41 . Even I had multiple posting my probs, still people didnt seems to understand what is it about. So basically, I have done the pre-intallation part. Now Im moving on wth web based installation procedure. The first step is to Start wth The Web Based Configuration Procedure. To start wth the web based configuration procedure, I have go to http://www.xyz.com/osCommerce/ .. finally, Im stuck here because the page that suppose to appear is 'welcome to oscommerce ....', instead of this page appear, the page HTTP 404 page not found appear. Can anyone help me?

Then write whatever you want on it.(In HTML) Then, upload osCommerce to your site using FTP. If you need help, look on the Zymic forums.
