Show price and number of items only

I'm using STS and would like to know how I can display the cart contents like this:

 

0 items £0.00

 

instead of the default way of adding the whole information.

 

I want this in the header. currently i've got this in the header of one site and if I start adding more than one product the cart expands to display the rest and it messes up my template.

No, nobody has any answers for this.

 

I added it to another site in the header, but how do you call parts of scripts or certain modules like "specials"?
