Guest
I would move the paypal image down to below the information pages, then I would center the geotrust image. I'd also take the borders around the product description off, just my opinion. Your "About Mos Gifts" and "Wholesale LInks" pages are opening up in a new page, is there a reason for that? If so, you need to add something about Mos Gifts, and you need to format both pages. I'm sending the .psd to you. Sorry! BTW: Didn't like the western buttons? lindsayanng
move that stuff out of the top of the column.. you do NOT need that geo trust or payment accepted logos right up there.. move them lower, the things that should be on the top are the categories, shopping cart, search, login.. Your categories are not in a "normal" place.. move them up. You have stock oscommerec buttons. GET RID OF THEM and make your own your add to card button is in a table with a white background. It looks weird.. make it the same color as the rest of the site, or make the product info have a white background too change the headers for the info boxes. they are stock oscommerce. it needs some style. Guest
Oh good! I'm glad it worked for you. I like the easy way out. Just a couple things I noticed... You spelled "order" as "oder" on your welcome page. (HAHA!! I spelled "welcome" wrong when I was writing that!) And you might want to re-word it a little... It says "We accept credit cards but not right now..." Maybe you should say something like "We will be ready to accept credit cards on line in the near future..." or something like that... And the pink "Guest" text is yukky. If you want me to figure out how to change the color of that, I can check how I did it. You could make it blue to match the rest. And your category text is really big, and I think I read that having the counts in there slows things down... You could lose the counts and make the font quite a bit smaller (and not all in caps) and it would still be readable. Your shipping policy looks expensive... I wouldn't even put all those numbers in there (18% of $1000 would scare me away, even if I didn't plan on spending that much). And I wouldn't put the $2.50 service fee right on there either. Maybe break that kind of stuff to them later, after they fall in love with the froggy wine holder. You spelled "also" as "all so" when you say you ship to Canada, etc. I feel so mean! Sorry... Feel free to look at my site and let me know if you see anything bad!

Guest
Oh wow, cool stuff! Your "Red Hot Deals" got my attention right away. Is there a way you can edit the background of your items to match your site? I picked an item, and immediately fell in love with the border you created around your item. I created an account, received the confirmation page to tell me that the account was created. I clicked on My Account, and see the page ok, but the 3 boxes for My Account, My Orders, and E-Mail Notifications all have the dreaded red X without a graphic. I accessed my Shopping cart, went thru the steps, received choice for payment, but was not presented with a choice for shipping. Currently, I am sitting with a Dragon Dagger Wall Plaque for $13.95 ... end total and the only thing left to do is click to confirm the order. Being that I am in Canada, are you not charging taxes and shipping? The test order has gone through now, no problems, confirmed and redirected back to site. Other than the stock buttons, which I also have to change, I only see the taxes and shipping modules as your issues. Good luck!

jhande
You're not getting off that easy Ben! I didn't use a fine tooth comb, rather a quick brush thru LOL. Lose the category counts in the menu, they slow things down and aren't really needed. Lose those ugly "->" in the category menu. Make sure the category links do not break to another line, looks terrible when they do. Examples: "Bathroom Decor & Unique Accessor" why not just "Bathroom Decor" also "Purchase Our Catalog Fall 2008" maybe something like: "Purchase our Catalog". Contact Us page is broken or rather bent out of shape. Put a little space between the logo's in your footer, easily done by adding a few times. Just a "personal pet peeve of mine" that I see on a lot of sites. The header navigation to the right: My Account | Cart Contents | Checkout. If I'm a new customer why do I see a link to my account? Take a looky at mine (Link in my profile page)(site still under construction). Nice work so far. ;) - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -
fish say...
this is my first time to join the Feedback forum. Ben, I do like those delicate and elegant goods on your website, but it looks a little plain-designed and the layout is too simple. As you sell home decor, consider to create a homelike website which makes people feel cozy and have the desire to decorate their houses with your products. Maybe blue is a clear color but used in your site, not fit. a cloud engenders not a storm.....
