Some order not getting passed through

Recommended Posts

I'm having an intermitant issue where some paypal orders are being processed correctly, and going into oscommerce as processing..... but some orders are not. I'd say around 50%/50%

the paypal module I am using (palpal.php) has the following header;

paypal.php,v 1.39

Does anyone know how I should go about finding the cause of this problem?

Many thanks for any help.

I have the same problem - I think it occurs when people do not select the link to be re-directed back to my site.

Did you ever get this resolved?

Thanks

Use Paypal standard that comes with RC2

or any Paypal IPN module.

Also add order holding contributoopn

I am using paypal standard.

I tried to set up paypal IPN but failed.

I also installed order holding, which records the orders fine but the preview button leads to a blank page so I don't get the order details

Paypal standard that comes with oscommerce RC2 or the previous one.

I stronlgly recommend not to use the one that was with oscommerce prior to the rc1 release.

The 50% that are not coming through are probably the customers that DO NOT return to your site after they make the payment. When you say RC2.2... do you mean osCommerce v2.2 RC2? If you are using the older osCommerce version, the PayPal will not store orders if the customer doesn't come back to your site. If you are using the newer version, it works fine. The module I use that was built in with osCommerce is "PayPal Website Payments Standard" and it works great. You need to use the PayPal IPN or the PayPal Website Payments Standard, but not the old PayPal.

If 50% are not coming thru means that You are not receiving IPNs.

Steps to check:

1)Are You receiving IPNs.

2)If Yes then switch on debug and paste Your email ID there. If IPN was recd but failed You will get an email.

If You get a failed email then You need to check or modify code of IPN so that proper response are not considered as hack and the order is treated as complete and verified and payment status updated.

Hi Satish,

I'm not getting IPN's I couldn't get it to work, I installed it but I think I don't know how to fill all the details in the payment module details.

Do you know what I fill in there to configure it to run?

Thanks

Should this be the URL to the confirmation page in the cart?
