Hi there,

I've uploaded a new version of Cool Flash Carousel Menu: version 1.3a

I've noticed that the kampanya.php file displays the price without tax. If you have tax enabled in your admin section you still won't see prices with tax.

with the update the prices are shown with tax

download it at: Cool Flash Carousel Menu v1.3a

Sam - can you help me please - I cannot find where to edit the script. I'm using a template and the only "Main" thing that is listed is this:

CODE

<td align="center" class="main">' . tep_draw_form('filter', FILENAME_DEFAULT, 'get') . TEXT_SHOW . ' ';

if (isset($HTTP_GET_VARS['manufacturers_id']))

When you have templates you often have to stick with what it gives, unless you know how to code, but then you would'nt have the template!

You could try rename kampanya.php new_products.php and put it in includes/modules replacing whats there.

Of course if your template dont use that that wont help!!

the "fla_source" directory with its content should also be under catalog directory?

I'm getting the same errors like others....

I made a kampanya.xml file in my images folder. Made that file a permission of 777 along with the whole image folder.

Next uploaded all the files that were in the CATALOG folder and the other flash folder too....put the code in my index to display it and all I get is a white screen withe error message.

How do I get this to work? There hasn't been a clear fix to this considering many others are having the same error.

Hi. Just built in this funny thing some minutes ago.

Awesome stuff!!

Questions:

If installing within a shop thats width is fixed it shows up with big fat white borders. theres much space at the left and right and it looks kinda ugly. is there a possibility to fix this flash so the images use the whole width? ive set it to a width of 500px but theres much white around it (approx 50px every side). would look much better if it fits right into there...

hope someone understands what i mean ;)

thanks!

Works fine in firefox for me, only trouble I have is IE caches the xml so if you change on seperate pages no change is seen, fine on Firefox though.

It is a known IE issue mind.

Hello coummunity,

Cool Flash Carousel Menu looks great! Special thanks to the creator!

I have a glitch, when I load up my site in browser www.mysite.com

my Cool Flash Carousel Menu images and rotater work fine but,

the links on them to product do not work.

Now, if I proseed to click on a category then go back to the index page

where the Cool Flash Carousel Menu is whown "the links then work!

I seems like index main page is not getting all info needed.

Could this be related to osCsid= / SEO URLSs / or something like this.

Do I have a confuguration that's preventing it from working?

Thank you for the help in advance.

eh? what??

sorry for that

just to remind my issue is that i get the message:

Warning: fopen(/public_html/commerce/images/kampanya.xml) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/xxxx/public_html/commerce/kampanya.php on line 18

kampanya.php uploaded properly on the directory

images folder has 777 rights..

i've also made a fresh installation of oscommerce and applied carousel and worked fine.

The only difference is that when i did my installation i decided to install it to www.mysite.com/commerce

The "commerce" suffix is the one that complicate things and causes the failure in my case..

What do you think??

Thanks

the only reason to it happen i think is to not have 777 at your catalog/images folder since i'm using my shop at www.mysite.com/loja and its working fine, still only the glitch with firefox =\

try to make a new install using the 1.0.1 version and look for the xml file at the images folder

I just notice that if opened it in firefox the same issue occurs,

except the Cool Flash Carousel Menu dosn't even show in index

unless we do the click on a category then go back to the index page,

then it will work 100%

But, if you open your site like this, http://www.mysite.com/

including th www. in front of your domain (It don't work!)

This applies to explorer & firefox

Hope this helps, please someone fixthis

Try changing to permission 777 your commerce & images folder.

If commerce folder don't have permission 777 it might be blocking images folder

hope it works.

so no return messages about our problems great!!

Again I'll explain everything what was done to make sure it's understood how I did everything to solve the prolem.

Uploaded all the files in the CATALOG folder to my sites main public html folder (this is where my site is installed)

Made a file called kampanya.xml and set permissions to 777 including the images folder.

Also uploaded the folder fla source to the main index area too.

Ok so that's correct right?

Then I added the code in various forms to my index:

<td class="main" align="center"><?php include("kampanya.php"); ?></td>

or

<?php include("kampanya.php"); ?>

and after that I get this error

00problempic.jpg

Ok I hope more info like this will solve my issue. I've installed over 50+ mods on my site and once and while I get stuck like this....

Hi,

first of all: you don't have to upload the fla_source directory. It's only there so you can change the source file yourself if you have the scills to work with flash.

second: the kampanya.xml file doesn't need to be created manually. It's creating it's own file. Just understand that the file needs to be placed within images/ folder.

just move your kampanya.xml file to the image folder and it should be working now.
