Jack_mcs 1,020 Posted November 28, 2010 For those installing 3.2.5 into their 2.3 shops, I just realized I had used files from 2.3 instead of 2.3.1. The only difference this makes in this contribution is in the admin/categories.php (twolines) and admin/includes/languages/english/categories.php (one line) files, so you should compare those or make the manual edits. Markscher 0 Posted November 28, 2010 (edited) Hi Jack, on page control site i tried to use the "keywords from text" trigger but nothing happend, the page reloads and no keywords are added. Also on the fill tags site the keyword override function dont work, after 30 seconds i have exceeded the execution time on my server, and i have tried only to fill the keywords. Any idea what i made wrong? The title of a product is also one keyword for the product, is it possible to get the title to keywords seperated by (,) cause i get the whole title as one keyword but i would like to get the words from the title as seperated keywords. Thanks. Edited November 28, 2010 by Markscher getshoes.de your Streetwear Store

Thanks. There is a keyword density setting in the options that controls how the keywords are picked. It may be that there aren't enough words on the page fit in that range. The 30 second timeout is a known problem - just mentioned on the last page,in fact. Keywords are automatically separated by a comma. Be sure you have not erased that symbol in the options. If you are entering them manyally, you have to add the comma. Otherwise, I don't know why they wouldn't be separated. Support Links: Need Help? See this thread and provide the information requested. Markscher 0 Posted November 28, 2010 Hi Jack, thanks for the quick reply. The keyword seperator is set correctly and it looks like this (Kustom Schuhe Africa White Slip on = ProductTitle): <meta name="Keywords" content="Kustom Schuhe Africa White Slip on , , sneaker,.. but i would like to have it this way: <meta name="Keywords" content="Kustom, Schuhe, Africa, White, Slip, on , sneaker,.. Any idea? Thanks. getshoes.de your Streetwear Store

Otherwise, I'm not aware of any problem with adding commas in the code, though there is always that possiblity. You can manually edit them in the products edit page. Support Links: Need Help? kbking 0 Posted December 1, 2010 WOW!!! I have had your latest Header Tags Seo installed and online for a week now (or even less than that). Now when I type site:my-domain in googles search field 234 results(!!!) shows up, which should be compared with some 30 results I had before this implementation. This is absolutely amazing and if - someone asks me - shows the real blazing power of this script. There are some results I don't understand how google can pick up, but the more the better I say! And I am not even half way in fine tuning it yet. I guess I am at some point here down the road going to ask you Jack to sharpen it up real good, since I am now aware that you know the ins and outs of SEO. For now I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU! Regards! kbking
Jack_mcs 1,020 Posted December 1, 2010 WOW!!! There are some results I don't understand how google can pick up, but the more the better I say! www.in.no 7 Posted December 1, 2010 Hi Jack, just noticed the new version for 2.3.x version and i se you have uploaded it in same addon thread as for 2.2. Should it not been seperated so we can se it under the version selector 2.3 in the addon page. Now it does not show for 2.3 but only for 2.2 Or make a duplicate with version 2.3 linking back to the HT SEO 3.0 Aaddon listing. Just a tought.... :) and thanks for the good work.. Thanks for mentioning it. I didn't know that existed. I uploaded a dummy file pointing to the regular location since I don't intend to maintain another set of files. An option should be added so that existing contributions can be marked to show what versions they work with, but that's up to Harold. Support Links: Need Help? Hey Jack, Actually at the moment it's not possible to download the latest version. http://de3.oscommerce.com/contributions/HeaderTags_SEO_V_3.2.5.zip Apparently this is the download link, but it's giving a 404 error. Is this a persistent error or have others been able to download it already? Thanks for this contribution.

♥altoid 153 Posted December 3, 2010 There's something wrong with the addons section. It is a known problem and waiting for Harold to fix it. Until then, you may or may not be able to download it. You just have to keep trying. I just tried and the download is working now. I am not a professional webmaster or PHP coder by background or training but I will try to help as best I can. I remember what it was like when I first started with osC. It can be overwhelming. However, I strongly recommend considering hiring a professional for extensive site modifications, site cleaning, etc. There are several good pros here on osCommerce. Look around, you'll figure out who they are.
