I also see that your are entering city names in the zone fields. Because cities are not defined in the zones base, cities cannot be supported. You have to entere States and/or Countries. I don?t install any other shipping rate just the State Base Rateh <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you are familiar with the zone defining in the zone base, i don't see why it should not work. However, eveyhing must be done right. As far as the "The Shipping Rate can not be calculated at this time" message. I really seems that you have another module enabled, but not configured. That error is not an output of the module, so either you have a misconfigured module or you have some corrution with your oscommerce installation. AgeAjo
Hi I have a problem with Stated based rates, works fine for me for each region i have 8 regions. HOwever when i put more than 2 prices breaks by weight it doesn't work.. ALso if you put the first price break under 30 every item is billed under that weight. For example i want to have 30:8.18,1000:20,5000:0 Doesn't seem to work. Any ideas? The products that i sell have three weights thats it. First set at 1 are priced always at $9 Second set are 1000 weight and are dependant on the state. hence the reason for your contribution. Third weight is $0 no free.. I dont care about the weights i just use them to disguish the three diffrent shipping types.

If I set an item to 0 and the shipping set as follows 0:0.00 it allows me to have an auto download. If I have an item set 1 and the shipping as follows 1:10.00 it seem to get doubled to $20.00 and so on. If I set the item to 0.5 I get the correct shipping price. Could someone explain how the calculations work. I've looked everywhere for an explanation. billythekid
Make sure that everything is set correctly under "configuration/Shipping & Packaging/" make sure the following are set correctly: Enter the Maximum Package Weight you will ship..... Package Tare weight..... Larger packages - percentage increase..... It sounds like you have values entered here or at least the wrong values. Also, i will no longer provide forum support for this or any of my contributions under this user name "billythekid", I will close this accout and strickly use my "nezah.net" account. nezah.net
I see you are adding cities and states combined. I also see that not all states are being entered correctly. You need to follow zone guidelines or your shopping cart will never work properly. I see right away that your first region shipping table has the city "Nuevo Leon" whic is a city, not a state. The state Guanajuato. Remeber that you can only entered properly defined zones. Zones are defined in "Locations & Taxes/Zonez." Have you even installed mexican zones to your shopping cart? If you haven't, absolutely nothing will work with shipping. do a search for "medico zones" and install that. Once you have that installed, you have to enter those Zones into the region shipping tables of the shipping module.
rtorres
I got and installed already the Mexico Zones that is on the Contibutions Comunity... By the way, Nuevo Leon is a State. It is the State of Monterrey for example. After I entered this Zones I went to the Shipping Module and I set up the Regios. Do I need to configure the Tax Zones? Does it impact on this? Do you have another idea what can happend? Regards,

No, tax zones should not affect the shipping calculations. Since you are basing rates on weight, do you have wight entered into the products details? If so, I think this problem is beyond the shipping module. There is a problem with your oscommerce installation.
rtorres
Yes, I?m running MS2. I made some testing to tried to find the problem and sometimes it worked but another time didn?t. I reinstall to 3 regions again because I set up to 7 regions. I set a product weight to 25 pounds. I erased the Region 1 Shipping Table and I made 5 test cases: I set "25:124" then I set "26:124" then I set "27:124" and they didn?t work until I set "30:124" then "40:124" and they worked. So 3 cases didn?t work and 2 cases work. I don?t know why. Does the module support weight below the 30 pounds? Regards,

kunal247
Hi.Firstly thanks for this great contribution - works like a dream. Have a few small issues: 1. How to change the display of weight rate in Kg instead of Pounds ( I am in the UK) 2. How to add a UK State ie Jersey into Zone 2 Rates? 3. why the conversion of KG into Pounds has a formuly of KG * 4 = pounds? (It should be KG*2.2=pounds) Hope some one can help me on this and guide me a little. Thanks!! Kunal  <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Can anyone help on this! nezah.net
Can anyone help on this!Kunal <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There is few things you need to check. The items on your list are not controlled by the shipping module, but let me try to point you in the right directions. Make sure that your "country or origin" is configured properly under "configuration/shipping & packaging" Download and install the uk zones into your zonebase and make sure they list under "Locations & taxes/Zones" Properly configure the "Localizations" section. And you might have to modify your language file a bit.
TF Solutions
It seems that there are a number of people requesting city based, or postcode based shipping. Is there a way of having the customer make a selection themselves, rather than relying on existing fields? And have the shipping module base costs on their selection? ie. 1. Set up an additional field titled "Shipping Zones", to which I could add "NSW Metro, NSW Regional, VIC Metro, VIC Regional" etc. 2. The customer when filling in their address or shipping opions, select the "Shipping Zone" from the list 3. In the admin, I would have built the relationship by using the module.... Region 1 States/Countries = NSW Metro Region 1 Shipping Table = 600:8, 9999:0 Region 2 States/Countries = VIC Metro Region 2 Shipping Table = 600:12, 9999:0 Region 3 States/Countries = NSW Regional, VIC Regional Region 3 Shipping Table = 600:15, 9999:0 This way, anyone could easily modify it to their own needs, whether its states, postcodes, methods etc. It would also mean that spelling mistakes would be eliminated... I've got no idea how to programme this myself... any ideas - or other contributions that do this? Thanks! Tim

Tim <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have been tempted to do this, but i think i will wait till ms3 comes out. If i were to do this now, the contribution will be useless once ms3 comes out. So, lets wait. I will also add other capabilites such the ability to chose different methods (eg, air, ground, and so on). Jorge Suarez
