STSv4.5.8 Install Script for Dummies?

flasher

Recommended Posts

I downloaded STSv4.5.8_1_2

I tried copying and editing the many files described in the install.HTML file.

Now I'm unable to view or edit my shopping cart because of the many errors and warnings.

I would really like to use STS. Is there or will there be an install script for dummies?

Thanks

Dan

There is no install script nor is there one being planned to the best of my knowledge as to install STS is pretty straight forward.

if you have any problems with the install try posting your questions in the STS4 thread.

This is a copy of a post from Bill and after following it, STS worked well.

Neil,

The folder structure should me maintained as set in the contribution.

For example, you should ftp everything inside of the STS folder, which would be the includes folder and everything in it to your catalog folder of your shop (http://mystore.com/catalog/).

Then you need to either FTP everything inside one of the osc version folders (Files for MS2, Files for RC1, or Files for RC2) to your catalog folder of your shop (http://mystore.com/catalog/).

Your catalog folder could be called anything from catalog, shop, store, or could be the very root of your domain such as http://mystore.com/.
