MY OsCommerce did not come with a UPS option?

It was removed for some copyright violation (or other such reason). You can download either the UPS Choice or UPSXML contribution and install them or grab a copy of oscommerce from sourceforge and get the UPS files from there.

hello everyone, ...... I've been on this issue since yesterday and I wanted to know if you could shed some light on the situation. When I installed oscommerce I had two options I could install the oscommerce....

example.com/catalog

or

example.com

I choose example.com (www.bobostinytreasures.com)

I am trying to make the uspxml contribution work and havent had success with it.

I put it in the directory catalog and when I went to shipping module I didnt see it. However when I put it in the includes and admin folder that are separate when you first log into the site it works partially.

I can see the ups module but when I click on it I get this message:

Warning: constant(): Couldn't find constant UPSXML_Array in /home/content/b/o/b/bobostinytreas/html/includes/modules/shipping/upsxml.php on line 1011

When I go onto the website to see if it works I get this message:

2013 - Lost connection to MySQL server during query

select manufacturers_id, manufacturers_name from manufacturers order by manufacturers_name

[TEP STOP]

I've run the configuration sql and ran install_upsxml.sql

Could you shed some light into what I might possibly be doing wrong.

Thanks.

My guess is that you installed part of the code into the shop in the catalog directory. You should pick the one you want it installed into and run back through the installation. Also, this module requires a special account from UPS so be sure you have done that.

Hi, I'm using osCommerce 2.2 MS2 and trying to install UPS.

UPS XML Rates v1.3.5 for osCommerce 2.2 MS2

specifically for the UPS capability and the lack of preinstalled version has stopped my install.

The instructions for a fresh install of UPSXML assume you already have an installation - I guess because it came that way before it was pulled. I don't know what is expected for a real fresh install.

I need to check the order of things in a clean install of the UPSXML module.

Is this the right sequence?

use phpmyadmin and run the configuration_shipping.sql file on the database.

Upload all the files in admin and includes to the same directory structure on the site.

When I do this it does not work in admin, the module is not available to edit.

. I see the "install_UPSXML.sql" file but see no instructions to use it.

When I try importing it to the database, I get an error:

Error

SQL query:

ALTER TABLE products ADD products_length DECIMAL( 6, 2 ) DEFAULT '12' NOT NULL ,

ADD products_width DECIMAL( 6, 2 ) DEFAULT '12' NOT NULL ,

ADD products_height DECIMAL( 6, 2 ) DEFAULT '12' NOT NULL ,

ADD products_ready_to_ship INT( 1 ) DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL ;

MySQL said: Documentation

#3 - Error writing file './xxxx_osc1/#sql-393_2ecd6.frm' (Errcode: 28)

Guess I'm missing something.

Sorry, I don't understand what Jack_mcs was saying.

Not sure if it's the same problem.

Thanks,

John Burch

You should ask your host about that error.

Jack

Thanks, Jack,

I tried it again a few hours later and that error did not repeat. So all changes to the database seem to be functional. I can see them in phpmyadmin.

I think it works now. Yet to test.

This is the sequence using a new install of osC 2.2 MS 2 that appears to work right to install UPSXML when the UPS module did not come installed.

Install osC 2.2 MS2

Edit categories and products. (optional)

Save osc db.

Install or import "install_uspxml.sql" using phpmyadmin

install or import "configuration_shipping.sql"

Upload the "admin" and "includes" folders to the site and overwrite all files that preexist.

Thanks,

John Burch

  • 2 months later...
got this problem when try installing on Shipping modules !

"Fatal error: Class 'upsxml' not found in /home/mentar03/public_html/admin/modules.php on line 57 " ?

what`s the problem??

I guess either the file upsxml.php is missing in the shipping modules directory or the language directory (do you have one in the language directory of the language you use in the admin?).
