jbistuer
Good evening everybody, please, can someone tell me how I can avoid downloading images from my oscommerce shop?. (you know, right button on the image and 'save image as...'). Thanks in advance.
digilee
don't put them online. There is no way to stop anyone either downloading or taking a screengrab of anything within a browser. The nearest you can get is simply to put a heavily compressed small sized version. Quote SolarFrenzy Solar powered gadgets at down to earth prices. Iforaneye
Or you could add your logo or company very faintly accross the image? Yes it is a long job, but if you really want to prevent people from using your images it may be the best way :)
aiyou
I saw your post a few days back, and just stumbled across something that may work. I've not tried it, as I don't have a need, but perhaps this might work for you...won't avoid the print screen/screen grab, but looks like it will restrict someone from 'right-click and saving' your image. A couple different versions exist. http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex9/ Edited February 3, 2008 by aiyou
germ
The ONLY ways to prevent image theft are: 1. Don't put the images online to begin with. 2. Watermark them to make them unusable if stolen. Don't let yourself be fooled. There are several ways to subvert any "disable right-click" script and get images.
