Purchase without Account Help

Recommended Posts

So I downloaded the Purchase without account 1.1.2a (http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/355) and have a slight problem. When you pick an item and click check out, it takes you to a page where you have the choice to create an account, log in with an existing account or purchase without account. The only problem is, when you click to purchase without account it takes you to the create account page anyway. I was wondering if anyone would be able to point me into the right direction of where I need to look to fix this.

Thanks in advance, this will be of great help!!

could you tell me how you are want to collect shipping address if the merchant account collect only the billing address.

Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here!

8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself.

Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues.

Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.

So you're saying that I'll need an additional contribution to collect shipping address?

No. Are you sure it is the create account page? Do you actually create an account or merely collect the information to process the order?

I tried and it goes to the same page as when you create an account. Collects the same info and then when you're finished it says account created successfully.

Maybe try it for yourself and see if you're getting the same problem as me?

Add to cart>Checkout>"Order your item without creating an account">and then it takes you to "create an account"

Go over your install again..it appears to not be correctly done.

When working correctly you will still be directed to the create account page but the sign up for newsletter checkbox and the password fileds do not show and when finished with the create account form you skip the create account success page and goes straight to the checkout_shipping page.

Yes, you are right. My PWA is an earlier version and the proceed directly to checkout takes me to order_info.

Your is functioning as it is written, there may be a fix in this thread.

My version is Version 0.910 - Update. Never changed it from that version.

my PWA works fine, but i wonder if there's a way to skip the password part during checkout, since they are not creating new accounts, i don't see why they should be ask for a password.
