Add Item Options to Index.php

I have seen a few mods around here that will allow you to replace the buy now button if there are options avaiable. But has anyone created a mod that will add the option types to the Index.php?

 

For example It will show the following:

Buy Now (button)

Options (below the buy now button)

 

Somewhat like the Recently reviewed mod recently_viewed.php file
