capty99
I have everything set up correctly as far as I can tell. When troubleshooting I have myself sent this XML rate quote response and get <?xml version="1.0"?> <Error><Number>-2147219085</Number><Source>Rate_Respond.;SOLServerRates.Rate_Respond</Source><Description>Invalid XML Element cannot be empty according to the DTD/Schema. </Description><HelpFile></HelpFile><HelpContext>1000440</HelpContext></Error> if anyone knows a fix I would appreciate it , I know your all helping out so I can pay pal $10 to whomever can help out. If you want to take a look I can trust you with the login info. Thanks guys, i'm just at a loss right now and have to move on to something else. fang
I have the same issue - what was the epiphany?
fang
I'll reply to my own post in case anyone else has this issue (since I had the issue and found an answer). If after having the xml data emailed to you with this error: <?xml version="1.0"?> <Error><Number>-2147219085</Number><Source>Rate_Respond.;SOLServerRates.RateV3_Respond</Source><Description>Invalid XML Element cannot be empty according to the DTD/Schema. line= 0 pos= 1196</Description><HelpFile></HelpFile><HelpContext>1000440</HelpContext></Error> Follow the installation instructions under "troubleshooting" - the first issue: 1. If you are getting a "parse error" when you click edit in the admin OR your international options with checkboxes are not showing up in the admin, you may need to use phpMyAdmin to update the database -> configuration TABLE and CHANGE "set_function" to TEXT from VARCHAR. Afterwards: A. Remove the USPS module in the admin B. Re-install the USPS module in the admin C. The options will appear Apparently, not sending the international options to USPS is what generates the error. Probably happens whether you want to ship internationally or not. fang
Or maybe not. Apparently, this might be connected to "Display transit time" - when I turn it off, the module breaks and shows an error - even if proper XML data is sent from the USPS. Turn on "Display transit time" and the error doesn't happen. Is there a fix for this around?
