Okay, this may be Taboo, and if so, I am sorry, but I haven't been able to find this searching or in the contributions.

On this website

http://shops.oscommerce.com/directory/goto,4471

On the product page, it has a text field for "enclosure message" and then a space to write. How do I get something like this? I tried the product attribute contribution, but either I'm missing something or it does not work. Also, I'm not a programmer, so the better it can be explained or coded, the more grateful I am.

Thanks!

It seems to be quite easy. In the admin section of your catalog go to products --> attributes.

In the attributes section, you will notice a bunch of pre-done attribute for you. You can edit all of them, and then apply the to specific products. When you edit the first box, which determines what type of attribute you are working with, you will set edit it. You can call it CUSTOM TEXT and then on the right you will see a drop down menu under ACTIONS. In the ACTIONS menue, you will see TEXT AREA. That will insert a text area where your customers can print what they want and it will show up in their order.

It also has a comments area where you can write a note to your customer such as, "The text can only be up to 14 spaces"

A great place for newbies to start
