Deleting from database

Hi

 

There are 239 countries in the drop down list! :o I only want to send to 28 of them. I have looked at the "Active Countries" contribution, but it looks sooooo complicated for what I want.

 

Can I just BACK UP DATABASE first! ;) &

 

1) go countries (left column) >

 

2) Tick all countries_id, countries_name, countries_iso_code_2, countries_iso_code_3, address_format_id & press BROWSE >

 

3) Then tick the ones on each page (8) that I do not want & press X (delete) at the bottom?

 

Do I need to tick all the options in 2) ?

Will this work or is there a better but also easy way please?

 

Then I assume the possible countries dropdown in all the places such as create_account, address_book & checkout will only show these options.

 

It shouldn't affect any other functions in OSC should it?
