Recommended Posts

Hi all , i'm setting up a new shop i'm a relative newbie working with online stores and i'm a bit lost,

when I try and click on My account or checkout I get page cannot be displayed 404 IE error, first answer the pages are uploaded so the link is live and should be connecting and the thing thats really throwing me is that the cart contents page is working fine

the website addy is my site

So you can take a look, i've searched through the old posts on the board and all the posts i've found asking about this have not been replied to so i'm still no wiser, would really appreciate some help with this if someone can, thanks in advance

The links that don't work all go to https (SSL).

Have you installed an SSL certificate?

If not, install one or edit your configure files to not use HTTPS links.

;)

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.

Hi, again :-"

I hadn't installed an ssl cert that was the problem I have looked into getting one but just for the minute I want to disable the https links in config i've searched the forum again and found the code lines I need to edit ( at the minute they are set to true for https )

Problem i've got now is they are set to read only and I cant seem to edit the properties to allow editing of the config files i've tried through DW and I can edit the files but it wont let me upload once edited and I cant find any options on the OC admin panel to change permissions sorry about the constant noob questions but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
