Orders Timing, how to change it to GMT+1 ?

Hello,

I have noticed that the orders timing is different from real time in my costumers country. Could anyone please tell me where to edit this? I want GMT +1 timing.

This is a function of the webserver that the site is hosted on. Unless it's your own server, you won't be able to change it.

 

However, what you can do is alter the time coding slightly within your checkout_process.php file:

and adjust the (time() - 3600)) to suit the time difference. In my case, it's -3600 because the server is an hour ahead of our time zone (at the moment). It will need to be adjusted manually to allow for differences in daylight saving times.

 

The amount you need to add/subtract depends on the time difference between the server and your home time-zone; each hour is +/- 3600 (seconds)

 

If you want the correct time in the notification email as well, you will also need to adjust the time further down in the same file (about line 365) - here:

					EMAIL_TEXT_DATE_ORDERED . ' ' . date('Y/m/d - H:i:s', (time() - 3600)) . "\n\n";

 

That should be it (if my memory serves me correctly).

Hello thank you for your suggestion but it didn't work for me, maybe because my checkout_process.php lines are different from yours.

Yes, mine is completely different to yours but the relevant bit of code is anywhere you have the date/time function that you want to change.

'date_purchased' => 'now()',

 

 

The first part (before the =>) can stay the same, it's just the bit after the => that you need to change (instead of 'now()' ):

'date_added' => date('Y/m/d - H:i:s', (time() - 3600)),
