STS Installation

Recommended Posts

I just installed the latest version of STS. Once I finished I went to the Admin. Panel only to find nothing. It changed only the logo back to it's original. I would reinstall but how would you uninstall. Confused, please help. Thanks to everyone for doing a truely AMAZING job!

Make sure you have set the right permissions, and that you have full access to your database configuration.

To uninstall, just run the install files again and use the same database address. OSCommerce will overwrite everything.

Best

Andy.

To install a banner for your website instead of the osCommerce.gif all you will need to do is find your header.php which should be in include/header.php. Open that file and replace the following:

<table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">

<tr class="header">

<td valign="middle"><?php echo '<a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_DEFAULT) . '">' . tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'oscommerce.gif', 'oscommerce') . '</a>'; ?></td>

to

<table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">

<tr class="header">

<td valign="middle"><?php echo '<a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_DEFAULT) . '">' . tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'yourimage.gif', 'your alt text') . '</a>'; ?></td>

Just make sure you upload your image to the same directory the oscommerce is.

Hope this helps
