multi store contribution

hi i am baffled, i have installed the multi store contribution. i have my first default shop working fine showing the categories and products that it should. i then created a second shop uk i copied the catalog folder renamed it uk and uploaded it. i created the new store, new configuration table configurationuk - it has the correct store_id. i can create a category/product and assign it to the uk.

I changed the include/config and include/database tables in my new store uk and when i try to bring the store up the page is blank. Any idea what this maybe or how i can identify the problem. this was a clean install with no other contributions. thanks

Claire I am having the exact same problem with my second store. Did you have any luck fixing this issue?
