Paypal rip off ?

Hi , I had an order on my webshop.

1 product : €14,5

Shipment : €4

Payment method : Paypal

 

I checke my paypal for the total of €18,5 but there was no €18,5.

Only €15,5 because for some unknown reason paypal asked €1 shipment instead of €4.

Why is that ? I tried it myself with other products and yup paypal did NOT use the correct shipment amount.

Can anyone tell me why ?

i doubt that paypal are trying to rip you off :huh:

 

but check that you havent got delivery prices already set up with paypal that are interferring with shop rules

I checked but nothing wrong.

And even if I configured it wrong then he will ask to much

because the total in oscommerce is : 18,5

But he does NOT at the shipment cost in paypal.

+ paypal ads a stupid 1 euro ( and sometimes nothing )

 

so why does he not charge the total amount

but the total amount - the shipment price ?

You should test that. Put the same item to the cart with the same shipping (set the shipping address of the test account) then get all the way to the paypal page. Check what amount it shows on the Paypal Site before making the payment. If it doesn't show 18.5 it means your store did not sent the right amount to paypal.

If profile setting allows at paypal to ripoff and calculate shipping a paypals end then this might happen.

Check Your profile setting at paypal.
