Favicon Contribution

Recommended Posts

The ReadMe direction say:

You can add a favicon to your web page by uploading favicon.ico to your

website and inserting the following HTML tag inside the <head> ... </head>

section of your header.php.

. . . .

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" >

</head>

There are no <head> ... </head> tags in my header.php

There is <head> ... </head> tags in my index.php but the favicon doesn't work when I add <link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" > there.

Anybody know what the problem is?

Obviously an old post but for future readers.. just put the following at the very end of your header.php file:

<!doctype html public "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">

<head><link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" ></head>

Works a treat and is simple.

PS: don't forget to actually put a favicon.ico in the root directory. If you're not sure where this is.. trial and error will work... it is a small file. :P

This is just what I am after.

Can you please tell me where I can find the header.php file?
