Best way to implement design in OSC

Recommended Posts

Hi,

What is the best way to implement a home made design into OSC. I've tried out STS, but think it is missing a few things.

Thx for the help!

What didn't work for you with STS? I have not seen a design yet that does not work with STSv4 and higher. The most current version is 4.4. With STS you can use any web language out there, flash, ajax, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, etc., etc.

You can completely edit your infoboxes, header & footer, columns, specific layouts for categories, products, etc., popup image templates that could include whatever you wanted (multi-images, flash galleries, etc.) and the list goes on & on & on.

If you have a pure CSS layout in mind, then you a trying to put a square into a round peg. This is because osCommerce is does not use a pure CSS layout. It can be done however. There is a contribution that converts osCommerce into a CSS layout in which could then be edited using STS4 or higher. Very cool.

Well, hope this has helped you out somewhat. :)
