Limit to number of images

Hi I need some help with images. I seem to have reached the limit of number of images I can upload. When I add new images, some other images seem to get deleted. Some time back, I read about this problem in the forum, but I can't find this topic again. The images that have been deleted, are they still stored somewhere I can recover? My site address is www.vijay.gi.

That sounds like a host problem and is not osCommerce related. You should contact your host and ask them to allow you to put more images in your webspace directory/directories. You would have to ask your host also if the disappeared images are still retrievable when they made the change for you.

I have checked with the host (Bluehost.com) and they inform me that they have a limit of 2000 for the number of items in a directory. They advise me that I should be able to create a second images directory (say, images01) where I could have upto another 2000 pics and so on. How do I implement this in osCommerce? Can anyone give me a step-by-step guide in how to do this? I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks
