hellbound
I have made a new version of the news scroller 1.2 by BluEdoG that uses no java. It works the same way as the old one, but because I was having lots of problems with users without the Java VM installed, I made this one...its done with html and loads faster than the java version; now i am working with php code to make a news.txt file for writing the news. Its almost done. :) If anyone is interested to me to do a contribution I can make it, but only if BluEdoG agrees with the idea; because the first idea of this contribution was his. :) regards. wizardsandwars
I use the BlueDog's current java version, but I thought that this was a good point, and worthy of being bumped back to the top. gnehc
Personally, I think the non-java is probably better. Loads faster. Less load. And, a lot of ppl probably don't have java installed in their browser by default nowadays. o_O Please contribute when you can. Thanks. Can we see an example, I would like to see such contribution. wizardsandwars
You can check out the current java version at www.wizardsandwars.com. I'd be particularly interested in how fast the scroller and the rest of the site loads for you guys. Live shop, please, no test orders. humaneasy
Only to mention that Java Applets usually frozen Opera when loading. Opera 6 as less problems with JavaScript than previous versions, but sometimes still acts in many odd ways. Unfortunatly the only browser I knew that "eat" everything was M$ IE  1, Lopo Quote If I helped you, you can help others too. Search Affero Network.
