bobg7 Posted September 15, 2006 Share Posted September 15, 2006 I have been running the PayPal Shopping Cart IPN v3.1.5 for about a year now without any issues. Over the last few days I have noticed that the transaction details are not being passed back to osCommerce and changing the status from Pending to Processing like it's supposed to. All I get is the email from PayPal and no extra order email like before. Is anyone else having this problem with PayPal Shopping Cart IPN v3.1.5? If so have you found a resolution to it? I have contacted PayPal but have not heard back from them yet. Thanks in advance.. bobg7 Posted September 21, 2006 Author Share Posted September 21, 2006 Just a quick note, I contacted PayPal to see if anything has changed on there side with Instant Payment Notifications and there reply was to check to make sure I have it turmed on and the correct email address entered. I did and they are correct, I get the Extra Order email from the store and the Payment Sent email from PayPal the orders in admin are showing No PayPal Transaction Information Available(xxxxxxxxxxxxx). in the PayPal box. If you look at the order PayPal Transaction Activity the Transaction number is about 32 digits long. When I look at an older order that number is only 17 digits long. I'm trying ann experiment that I hope will resolve this issue. I'll know if it worked when my next PayPal order comes in. 1) Login to your phpMyAdmin 2) Click on the paypal table 3) Edit txn_id and change the Length/Values from 17 to 32 or higher (I did 50) 4) Save the changes I'll report back later if this fixed it or not. bobg7 Posted October 18, 2006 Author Share Posted October 18, 2006 Well, I finally broke down and installed the 'osCommmerce_PayPal_IPN_v1.2' contribution and it's working like a charm so I'm guessing there is a fault in the 'Paypal Shopping Cart IPN 3.1.5' contribution that needs to be addressed.
