OSC INFO site (no sales)

Hi there,

I am happy with my OSC site, www.chimerique.co.uk but now have a new project.

It is an online directory of service providers in my area. OSC fits my needs of having divisions of categories and sub categories, and also having a list of items which can then link to an individual page for each supplier. Can I install OSC and totally omit the sales feature?

Specifically, each 'category' would be a town, and each 'product' would be a service provider. The product information page would have html detailing their service and contact details. I don't want there to be a shopping cart feature, or redundant add to bag buttons.

Thanks.

Angel,

Easily done using one of a few contributions here. Sorry, I don't have links. I have successfully used a number of them. Do a search on "disable buynow and shoppingcart" and also "PHPCatalog".

You can also use STS and simply not include any of that sort of thing on the pages (would work just as well with a little optimisation IMO).

I'm sorry, but i cannot offer Free support via PM etc, and osCommerce forums prohibit me from putting any reference to paid support in my signauture.

However viewing my profile may provide links to my website or something like that which you may find useful.
