When you first run it manually, click on the top update button. When you run it manually the next time, use the second update button. It should send a clean email the second time.

Those are due to your server settings. Show them to your host and ask them to change the settings so they don't fail.

I got this error message

"Your username is invalid. Please change it and try again.: System -> /home/content/p/a/g/pagadian/html/mystore/ - SiteMonitor -> /home/username/public_html"

So I entered "/home/content/p/a/g/pagadian/html/mystore/" in Start Directory in the Site Monitor/Admin

I got the Start Directory from my configure.php

define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', '/home/content/p/a/g/pagadian/html/mystore/');

Then after I entered it, I got a new error message below:

Warning: fopen(/admin/sitemonitor_configure_0.php) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory

in /home/content/p/a/g/pagadian/html/mystore/admin/includes/functions/sitemonitor_functions.php on line 604

Failed to open file /admin/sitemonitor_configure_0.php

Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in

/home/content/p/a/g/pagadian/html/mystore/admin/includes/functions/sitemonitor_functions.php on line 608

The error is saying it can't find one of the sitemonitor files. Be sure you have uploaded all of them to the correct location.

Hi Jack

I am working with v2.9 Site Monitor and I am wondering why you store the to / from emails and the directories in the SM configure when they are 'in theory' already available from the configure files or the db for the site.

Specifically

$to = 'some_address@your_domain.com'; //where email is sent to

$from = 'From: some_address@your_domain.com'; //where email is sent from

$start_dir = '/home/username/public_html'; //your shops root

$admin_dir = 'http://www.yourdomain.com/admin'; //your shops admin

cheers

Tony

Not all shop owners want to use the shops email address. The start location was meant to allow control over where the script started from and did do that in earlier versions. But over time that ability was lost and I haven't decided if I want to add that as an option or remove it altogether.

Hello Jack,

you do very good work. I have a little problem with the site monitor. It works perfectly so far. But as soon as new files are uploaded to the server, I can not update the reference file. It appears the error message "500 Server error". When I then manually delete the reference file, I can create a site monitor new reference file. Site Monitor will delete the old reference file that is not independent. Do you have any idea why this might be? Regards Max

Was trying version 2.8, now downloaded 2.9 and the error with diferent path

Your username is invalid. Please change it and try again.: System -> /usr/home/kendo/domains/mydomain.com/public_html/ - SiteMonitor -> /home/username/public_html

try with $handleErrors = true; and still the same error.

That is usually due to too many files being checked. You should try excluding one of the large directories, like includes and see if it works. If it does, then you will need to create multiple instances to check all of your files. If it doesn't, ask your host to see what that error if failing on.

Well, the message says the user name is invalid and it shows you what it should be and what it is. Perhaps making that change will help.

Hi Jack, I had already done in advance. The error is only occurs then, when new files are saved in the directory. Only i delete the referenzfile manual with FTP, I can create a sitemonitor new reference file. sitemonitor can not delete the old reference file itself. the permissions of all files from sitemonitor are 644.

I have install the latest version 2.9. the shop running under osCommerce Online Merchant v2.2 RC1, Server OS; Linux 2.6.28.8-20101130b-iscsi-ntacker-fasync-mremap-amd-sec6-grsec; MySQL 5.0.91-log; HTTP Server: Apache ; PHP Version: 5.2.17 (Zend: 2.2.0)

THX for your brainstorming ;-)

regards max

If the script can't delete the reference file it is most likely because of how the server is setup. You will need to ask your host to change the settings so files can be deleted by the script.

From the start directory setting in admin->SiteMonitor->Configure.

problem fixed, chmod 777 admin dir

That might create more than it solves since 777 is usually very vulnerable to hacking.

I'm sure this will be quite simple but I can't find out where its getting it from. When trying to make a configure file I get the below message. For some reason the path is being called for twice.

Warning: fopen(/home2/mmptv/public_html/mmptv/admin/sitemonitor_configure_0.php) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home2/mmptv/public_html/store/admin/includes/functions/sitemonitor_functions.php on line 604
Failed to open file /home2/mmptv/public_html/mmptv/admin/sitemonitor_configure_0.php
Warning: fclose() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /home2/mmptv/public_html/store/admin/includes/functions/sitemonitor_functions.php on line 608

Any ideas?

Thanks.
