choosealogin
Can you give us a link to that contribution...or if the instructions aren't long, just paste them here.
my scrap shop G
-- HOW TO INSTALL --- 1. You need to copy all the files into /catalogue/ directory /catalogue/gallery.php /catalogue/gallery.ini /catalogue/gallery/first/movie_the_fifth_element.gif /catalogue/gallery/second/movie_the_matrix_trinity_2.gif /catalogue/gallery/third/movie_x-men.gif /catalogue/gallery/sm_first/movie_the_fifth_element.gif /catalogue/gallery/sm_second/movie_the_matrix_trinity_2.gif /catalogue/gallery/sm_third/movie_x-men.gif /catalogue/languages/english/gallery.php 2. Define in /catalogue/includes/languages/english.php define('BOX_INFORMATION_GALLERY', 'Gallery'); 3. Insert into a navigation box /catalogue/boxes/information.php '<a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_GALLERY, '', 'NONSSL') . '">' . BOX_INFORMATION_GALLERY . '</a><br>' . 4. Define in /catalogue/includes/database_tables.php define('FILENAME_GALLERY', 'gallery.php'); 5. Check out mine gallery.php main file because I've integrated the script into a modified file. But you can understand how I've done it :) --- HOW TO ACTIVATE --- * All you need is to place image files into folders: first - big pics, sm_fist - small thumbs. The names of files must be the same!!! * Then you need to describe manually (working on automatic desc.) your files in gallery.ini --- HOW DOES IT WORK? --- It simply checks folders for **** and sm_*** names that must contain same filenames but different resolutions. I recomend to use 72x72 for small pics and ~30-40 kb for big ones :) that's the instructions, is some of that code not right?
choosealogin
Well, the instructions could be clearer but it all sounds reasonable. I'm not familiar with this one, what is this supposed to do? I mean, what is the "gallery"? Based on the info I have, I expected to see a new page at www.myscrapshop.com.au/gallery.php ...but it's not there. Did you upload the gallery.php file to your shop? Maybe since I don't know what this contribution really does, I could have misunderstood...let me know. Also, just post the code that's in your includes/boxes/information.php file. We'll see what went wrong there.
my scrap shop G
it's a photo gallery, lol, at least that's what I expect. Here's your includes/boxes/information.php Replace your information box code with this ... let me know how it goes. :) I just moved the closing parentheses, to put it after your new gallery link, and moved the closing ?> tag. <?php /* $Id: information.php,v 1.6 2003/02/10 22:31:00 hpdl Exp $ osCommerce, Open Source E-Commerce Solutions http://www.oscommerce.com Copyright ? 2003 osCommerce Released under the GNU General Public License */ ?> <!-- information //--> <tr> <td> <?php $info_box_contents = array(); $info_box_contents[] = array('text' => BOX_HEADING_INFORMATION); new infoBoxHeading($info_box_contents, false, false); $info_box_contents = array(); $info_box_contents[] = array('text' => '<a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_SHIPPING) . my scrap shop G
yes thank you that has at least fixed the error on my main page, but now there is an error when you click on 'gallery'. i have put 2 of my pics into the appropriate folders + the pics uploaded with this contri (the instructions are a bit brief here, but I think I've done the right thing) hmmmmmmmm
choosealogin
The next thing I would look at is this 4. Define in /catalogue/includes/database_tables.php define('FILENAME_GALLERY', 'gallery.php'); That doesn't sound right. Let's put that line in catalog/includes/filenames.php instead. define('FILENAME_GALLERY', 'gallery.php'); Make sure it's before the closing php tag ?> Let me know. :) Edited June 19, 2006 by choosealogin
my scrap shop G
I have managed to fix the problem: the instructions were incorrect and I created the new gallery folder under /includes/ rather that what people general call /catalogue/ but which is called /public_html/ is a standard install. It was really frustrating me that someone would write instructions like that, and then I saw an error in the placement of where /languages/ is and realised that the instructions could perhaps be a bit off.... and yes, I changed things around and now it works. anyone else used this, and can I add a text description? and if I wanted to have a gallery of about 50 pics do I just keep adding folders?
