Mystical Unicorn
Hello All, My website uses Pay Pal and I get a lot of hits but it seems that when customers have items in their shopping cart, and go to checkout they abandon them. Don't people want to purchase through Pay Pal? How can I entice them to purchase without sounding to desperate? Any suggestions? Thanks, Maryann Overmere

Thanks, Maryann Overmere I think people who do not have a paypall account might not want to go through the sign up process for paypall especially right after they have gone thought that with your site already setting up an account. I do not use paypall for this reason (as well as the extra book keeping it would requre to use two processors) I have also seen in posts references to an option of using paypall without creating an account. This might be a bit better. I think the best solution it to get a real gateway. This does requre having a real meachant account. If you are serious I think this is the way to go. You can always offer paypall as a second option. Quote Backup before making changes. Backup before making changes! Backup before making changes!! You did do a backup? eh? Thanks, Maryann Overmere Have you contacted them to find out for sure that this is the problem? If it is and your are losing money because of just having paypal then you really should think about getting a reqular merchant account. If you are having quite a few dropped carts then I would install recover cart sales if you have not already done so. There is an option in your paypal account to let you accept payments from non-paypal members. Forget where it is exactly but it should not be to hard to find... Quote The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
