Manual entry of Meta tags

Guest

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I have read forums but can't seem to pinpoint a "working" way to insert Meta tags manually into OS Commerce. I refer to adding the "Description", Keyword, and Robot Meta Tags (plus others if needed) between the <head> and </head>.

Using a web Meta tag generator and cutting and pasting it beween the <head> and </head> tags doesnt seem to work so I assume I am mixing HTML with PHP incorrectly or I am inserting it into "Index.PHP" which is not correct.

At this point I DON"T think I need the contributions listed for auto insertion. I have tryed installing them and had "a few snags" and rather keep this as simple as possable

Seems some refer to adding them to a file "default.php" which I do not locate

Thanks to all that can help me out and I know I am old fashioned on "needed or not" -- seems as if Googlebot likes them as to what I have read

John
