Guest
I installed easy populate today. I carefully followed the instructions that came with it, tried to follow the instructions in the file (see below) and followed the instructions in EasyPopulateExtraDocumentation.doc. To the best of my knowlege, I have everything done correctly. However, I don't understand the issue about The size of products model. I may have something wrong there. What I have done is delete all the software products from my table as well as the Die Hard movie. I have the original table that I am trying to re-import into the database. When I upload the 'EP' file, it doesn't show up in my tmp folder. When I use FTP to move the file to the folder, it doesn't update the database with it. I am not getting any kind of error message, just a message saying the process is complete. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Thanks Buck Towncorp.net //**** Size of products_model in products table ****// set this to the size of your model number field in the db. Guest
I made some progress, but it is still not working. Below, I show the two changes I made. Before I made the changes, I could not find the file curinv.txt, which contained my updated inventory data. After the changes, I was able to find the file in 'public_html/tmp'. I am still having no luck when I enter 'curinv.txt' in the 'Import from Temp Dir (/tmp)'. please, somebody help. This is all I have left to finish to go live with my site. Thank you, buck //*******************************//******************************* // C O N F I G U R A T I O N // V A R I A B L E S //******************************* //******************************* // **** Temp directory **** // if you changed your directory structure from stock and do not have /catalog/temp/, then you'll need to change this accordingly. // // Please set DOCUMENT_ROOT to $DOCUMENT_ROOT in your /catalog/admin/includes/configure.php $tempdir = "/home/towncorp/public_html/tmp"; $tempdir2 = "/home/towncorp/public_html/tmp"; //**** Size of products_model in products table ****// set this to the size of your model number field in the db. Maybe you can explain more clearly the step you are takng in EP (where your tab-dleimited file is located, etc.)? Maybe we can figure it out..
