:Backup Customer and Product: info

Hello,

 

Is there a way to back up my customer and product info?

so that i can delect my website and reinstall a new website

other then the Admin > Tools > backup format =)

 

Any help will be greatly apprecaited! Thank you

I use ftp and copy the whole site to my hard drive after i have made changes.

That way if it goes awry you can just put it back and start again.

yea =) i did that. but i am trying to install a completely new website. so. this will bring back my old website as well

customer info is spread thoughout several tables, the main being customers and address book. Product info is spread even more. So maybe it would be better to make a full database backup and use that, then change the configuration values to reflect the new store in admin.
