Guest
If you figure it out let me know. Unfortunately I can't dig into the code right now. I was hoping for an easy answer. I also just uploaded the new 2.78-ms2. There is not a problem. The sppc headers and data are only included if you choose to download model/price/qty not if you download the full file. It can be changed, but whoever slipped it into the code only included it for that section.

toptiara
OK so I downloaded this contribution, extracted the files and read through both the EasyPopulate_Manual.txt and the 1ReadMeFirst.txt file. 2. Copy file easypopulate.php and easypopulate_functions into admin/. - DONE 3. For adding link to the Admin, edit file admin/includes/boxes/catalog.php by adding this line: '<a href="' . tep_href_link('easypopulate.php', '', 'NONSSL') . '" class="menuBoxContentLink">Easy Populate</a><br>'. After: '<a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_PRODUCTS_ATTRIBUTES, '', 'NONSSL') . '" class="menuBoxContentLink">' . BOX_CATALOG_CATEGORIES_PRODUCTS_ATTRIBUTES . '</a><br>' . - DONE 4. Make sure that you have a directory called catalog/temp, and that it's permissions are set to allow writes to that directory (while you're in the catalog directory, execute "chmod 777 temp") - FOLDER DIDNT EXIST, SO I CREATED IT. DONE So, now this is done, I go to the next part. 1. Go to Admin -> Catalog -> Easy Populate - ??? I'm assuming this means on my site, but there is no catalogue folder below the Admin folder. I am stumped as to what Im doing wrong. Any ideas please? Thanks Quote Hand made jewellery and tiaras on our website Please bear with me. Im an osC noobie! Trout69
Hi All, Im in the process of installing easy populate onto my offline dev store(first timer for offline work), everything seems fine no error messages, but when i click to download the text file to edit nothing happens. I've checked the temp directory and nothing is appearing. I have changed the temp folder location in easypopulate.php from its default temp/ (as this didnt appear to work) to localhost/temp/ which still doesnt appear to work. I have only added a single test product to the catalog, before i use this mod to upload the remainder of the products. Does anyone have any idea's? I tried searching for a solution but there are so many posts for this mod i was snowed under. Any pointers would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance Donna

Guest
Easy populate is duplicating category and product entries. Any advice? I solved the problem. Easy Populate apparently didn't like the fact my categories included apostrophies. Removed the apostrophies from the shop categories and VOILA! works like a charm. :)
cloove
hey, here are some features that i am interested about easy populate: 01. how can i make that category and product name only need one column? my product name and category are the same on both languages so i really need only one column :-) 02. order of the excell column in downloaded file aren't same as i had in file which i've uploaded. how can i fix it? thanx

toptiara
My apologies. I missed a line in one of the files and as such missed part of the install out which was preventing it working. All now up and running :) Many thanks guess I spoke too soon O.o I got everything set up and downloaded the csv file with my current database info. I added in a list of products, saved the resulting file as a new cs. Log in to my osCommerce, navigate to the products area, select the file to upload, click on the button to load the database and get the following message(s) "File uploaded. Temporary filename: C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\php52DB.tmp User filename: current stock Top Tiara.xls SIZE_EP7927" This appears directly below the loading info, so to start with I thought it had worked, but when I checked my tables they are empty. So I tried it again, and this time I noticed there was more text right at the bottom of the page : "PHP Warning: move_uploaded_file(../temp/current stock Top Tiara.xls): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\hshome\toptiara\toptiara.com\admin\easypopulate_functions.php on line 32 PHP Warning: move_uploaded_file(): Unable to move 'C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\php52DB.tmp' to '../temp/current stock Top Tiara.xls' in C:\hshome\toptiara\toptiara.com\admin\easypopulate_functions.php on line 32 PHP Warning: file(../temp/current stock Top Tiara.xls): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\hshome\toptiara\toptiara.com\admin\easypopulate.php on line 735 PHP Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in C:\hshome\toptiara\toptiara.com\admin\easypopulate.php on line 758 " I FTP'd to my site to check the permissions on both the Catalog/Temp folder (777) and the loading file (also 777), but this doesnt appear to be the problem. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions please? Thanks Quote Hand made jewellery and tiaras on our website Please bear with me. Im an osC noobie!
