I am currently setting up my OSCommerce website, and need the fuctionality of calculating the total cost with or without VAT (Tax). Based on whether or not the shopping cart (upon checkout) has a total of under ?18, or over ?18. The reason I ask this is, I live in the Channel Islands (UK) and I can ship goods to the UK free of VAT (Tax) if the total cost of the product (not including shipping charge) is less than ?18. Therefore if goods checked out are under ?18 I dont want to charge VAT and if goods checked out are over ?18 I want to charge VAT I hope this is clear enough for you guys to understand.
