rinon
I have a highly moded site - well, not highly for some but for me - and I was wondering if there's a way that I can still install this on my site.... any help would be greatly appreciated! Basically, until this is improved and some more tools are added, you can't. :( Sorry, but it won't really work on a modded install. RE: All Bugs - I haven't gotten a chance to look at any of these. Sorry about that. I'll try to look into these in the very near future, I haven't had really any time at all to work on this lately. RE: Questions about the .sql file. This file is not needed any longer. The README that refers to it is outdated and is just kept for documentation's sake of the original version of Contribution Control & Bookmark MOD 0.1.2 which originally gave me the idea for the Contrib Installer. This contribution is included (Vlad, correct me here if I'm wrong) in the base installation of the 1.0 and greater versions of the Contrib Installer. Hope that answers some of your questions, and I'll try to get some time to work on getting rid of these bugs very soon. - Rinon

Vlad Savitsky
Hi, because of questions about installation i have Uploaded Contrib Installer 1.0.7 Contrib Installer have selfinstall functions and you don't need to do any changes by hand from readme.txt. This file was removed in 1.0.7 as an old. In this version was added How_To_UpDate.txt, How_To_UnInstall.txt, How_To_Install.txt What was changed since 1.0.6: - Changed function linebreak_view() to view a real linebreaks which we tryes to find but not linebreakes from xml-file. - Changed in check_conflicts.php findreplace and addcode which now if we can't find a string delete whiespaces and linebreakes and research again. If can't find second time we print a message. So we can resolve some conflicts automaticly!!! Also changed tag_actoins for this feature can work. - Added How_To_UpDate.txt, How_To_UnInstall.txt, How_To_Install.txt - Removed *.jpg from Contrib Installer package (~150 kb) - Removed Install instructions from readme.txt  Quote =============================== Never give up! This is not a Conrtib Installer problem. And nor 1.0.8 nor PHP 5 will not resolve it. As you already know. osCommerce uses sessions so cookies must be enable. Caliburated
So, how do you fix this bug?I seem to have gotten somewhere... in tools.php... $heading[] = array('text' => BOX_HEADING_TOOLS, 'link' => tep_href_link(FILENAME_BACKUP, 'selected_box=tools')); if ($selected_box == 'tools') { $contents[] = array('text' => '<a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_BACKUP) . '" class="menuBoxContentLink">' . BOX_TOOLS_BACKUP . '</a><br>' . The problem is when the install file tries to find and replace code in tools.php and looks for ] = array('text' => and finds 2 sets. By changing the first value 'text' to something like 'header', it narrows the file's search to the correct match. This works for the most part (be sure to change it back after the install if you go with this) but I am still getting an error as shown below. Checking config file: File install.xml is valid. Checking permissions: Permissions is OK. Checking conflicts: No conflicts. Backup: 6 files to /home/*******/store/admin/backups/Contrib_Installer_1.0.8/ PHP runtime messages: Done. 1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ')' at line 1 ); [CONTRIB INSTALLER TEP STOP] So still no luck! :P Hopefully someone will get another step further lol Edited January 20, 2006 by Caliburated
