Guest
I've installed Ultimate SEO URLs 2-2.2 and it's working well except the pagination, when I click next >> within a category it doesn't go to the next page. Does anyone know why this would be? It seems to be removing any appended variable from the URL. Any suggestions would be great! http://www.redstaggates.co.nz/index.php I just found this solution http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?sho...999&st=1500
Guest
just added this contribution and it works great so far. all my files output correctly to look like .html files. however one caetegory is divided into multiple pages with 10 products per page. however when i click to the next page, it just refreshes to the page i was currently on. is there a work around for this? Here is a solution http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?sho...999&st=1500
Trentide
What a great contribution! I'm having a small problem, though. For some reason, the category url's aren't working. I'm getting stuff like this: "http://www.subcitizen.com/-c-22.html". Whereas, in the past, the url's were all working well. (ie http://www.subcitizen.com/mens-22.html) Anybody have any idea's how to fix this? I appreciate any and all help!! Thanks Everyone and have a great New Year! jdice
Gosh...have I got a mess on my hands. I have a bts template. I uploaded ultimate seo url 2.0...thinking Chemo's version is probably the safest. Warning: include_once(includes/reset_seo_cache.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/electron/public_html/catalog/admin/categories.php on line 21 Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening 'includes/reset_seo_cache.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/electron/public_html/catalog/admin/categories.php on line 21 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/electron/public_html/catalog/admin/categories.php:21) in /home/electron/public_html/catalog/admin/includes/functions/general.php on line 34 After reading....alot...I realize the server can't find rest_seo_cache.php file. So I realize I need 2.1c because...it has the reset_seo_cache.php file. So I upload the 2.1c version and make all the necessary changes. Everything looks perfect except when I go to oscommerce administration panel...when I go to create a category ...it goes to blank page. The category loads because when I click the back button...the category I created is there...but when I create a category...it takes me to a blank page AND it also does it when I try to add a new product. So the page it takes me to is: http://electronicsgo.com/catalog/admin/cat...gory&cPath= So..I look at this and think...should there be a path there? So...I look to the seo url forum for answers. I read I small part from Vger that says 2.1c won't work without 2.1d. So I figure if I load 2.1da_1_2(the latest 2.1d version) ...this will take care of any path problems. Now after loading this version, I get... Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: User electron_osc1 has already more than 'max_user_connections' active connections in /home/electron/public_html/catalog/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Unable to connect to database server! Does anyone know what I should do next? I have spent all week on this...this was supposed to be a 5minute upload. What have I done wrong? This is so discouraging. Guest
Im not sure if I am missing something here, Ive installed this contrib no problems at all. The urls are re-written, every thing works fine, can switch it on or off with no issues. However , if I look at a spider simulator or my cached page on google, the links that are recorded are like this: http://www.hgvdirect.co.uk/catalog/-p-101175.html rather than this: http://www.hgvdirect.co.uk/catalog/road-an...0-p-101175.html surely defeats the object...? Ive tested with: http://www.se-spider.com/ and http://mesoimpact.com/spider/ same results. Any ideas what the error is? thanks Eric.

Benjjj6
Hi Since my Hosting Company upgraded from Apache 1.3 to 2.2 i've been having a problem with this contribution. However, it is only affecting 1 manufacturer. The manufacturer is called 'Kill Brand' and whenever I view a page with their products on (when i have Ultimate SEO's enabled) all the images become broken. Like I said, I dont this problem with any other manufacturer, only this one. Does anyone know what the problem could be? I am happy to post a link, just ask as I currently have this contribution disabled. Thanks, Ben

Guest
HELP ! I'm getting googled to death by googlebot 2.1 I have set up a number of oscommerce sites, but the only one that I have used this SEO contribution on is now bursting its bandwidth due to massive hits from the google spiders. The access log is showing virtually nothing but googlebot activity and its getting to the point where I may have to suspend the site. Can anyone advise on this? I set the robotx.txt file to slow down the frequency, and I've disallowed the image files and all other uneccessary files but it looks like the google bot is trapped on the site. The Who's online feature in admin shows 50 visiors online at any given time, but they all have the googlebot ip address!!!! This is a new installation of oscommerce with minor module enhancements only. If I cant stop this bandwidth problem I'll have to take the site down and remove the constribution step by step. carpenoctem
I just downloaded and installed 2.1d... whew!!! because i had a heavily modded categories.php file, i had to make all of the changes to it one at a time... and well my worst fear has happened... When i uploaded the new categories.php file, not everything works. The problem is actually just when I click on the "catalog" tab in the admin. I get a completely BLANK page. I have posted the Categories.php code Here. Maybe somebody can help me out??? Also, When the SEO URLS are enabled, the web pages do not load. If you goto My Website, you will see it for yourself. The Categories, nor the products fully load. In looking at the URL, it is doing what it is supposed to.. (WOO HOO) but then nothing loads on the pages. So the way i see it I am like 90% there.... ANY help that somebody can provide me on this is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance Mark

Guest
Can anybody explain this? My urls are being crawled currently since I installed this contrib (+ google sitemap). and Im getting mixed results on the google index. for instance. google bot crawls - grabs a osCsid session id - rewrites the url perfectly but appends the osCsid : http://www.hgvdirect.co.uk/catalog/volvo-f...9d7e08eb967c982 google bot crawls - is denied a osCsid and the url is not re-written: http://www.hgvdirect.co.uk/catalog/-p-500416.html Is there a connection? further to this - when I first go on the the website HGV Direct website the urls are not immediately re-written - it takes a couple of clicks for it to initiate. Ive done everything to remove the osCsid but it still appears occasionally. Any ideas anybody? cheers Eric.
