chmod 777 on windows!

In the Pre-Installation it is mentioned that I have to change the permissions (chmod) on the admin/includes/configure.php and catalog/includes/configure.php files to 777 by "chmod 777 configure.php" in the root server. I guess chmod 777 is only on Unix/Linux so my question is do I have to do something in windows as far as permission are concern?

Also is there a documentation file for Windows intallation only?

Thank you

right click on the file and remove the read only.

other than learning how to set permissions, installation is basically the same, just different paths

Ok thanks, now when I try to browse to my install folder I get FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it!

I read a few post and they mentioned something about changing the php.ini file and set the register_globals = on

I see 3 php.ini files do I have to modify all of them?

-C:\Program Files\EasyPHP1-8\php

-C:\Program Files\EasyPHP1-8\conf_files

-C:\Program Files\EasyPHP1-8\apache
