Help! admin probs on windows server

2 posts in this topic

I built our shop on my test linux server without any problems. I need to temporarily have it on a windows xp laptop to give to someone for error checking etc.

The catalog side works fine (as far as I can tell) but the admin side intermitently comes up with "404 page not found" on seemingly random pages. It displays the correct page for about a second and then shows the error page!! Works fine on linux! Sometimes you can see wierd characters in the pages before they dissapear.

Im running windows Xp, Apache 2.053, PHP 4.3.10 and Mysql 4.1.10

Since the catalog works ok I figure it may be something to do with the configure.php so have included it here.

One more thing, when I imported the database I noticed only one problem for some bizare reason the ? symbol on all the prices etc had been changed to ? very very strange.

Any help Would be very very welcome as my brain now aches.

Here is the configure.php file

Forgot to mention, It works fine from Firefox. The problem apprears to be in internet explorer both from the local and a remote machine. The only difference being when I use internet explorer on the local machine it goes into some kind of crazy loop - trying to display the page, instead of just displaying a "page not found" as it does on the remote machine!

Any ideas?
