♥BlueYon
Hey, Not sure what you mean by that. I've already installed Ultimate SEO URLs and it worked just fine. The only problem I am having now is with Search Engine Friendly URLs, not Ultimate SEO URLs. The only concern in regards to Ultimate SEO URLs is I may not have properly uninstalled everything. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nice site! PM me your FTP, I will try to fix your problem. I think its a .htaccess problem though.

♥toyicebear
If I remember correctly the advice on Ultimate SEO URL's it is to only install it if you have tried using the default 'Use Search Engine Friendly URL's' and confirmed that they will work on your server. Vger <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hi, a slight correction.... Its for the contrib "Search Engine Friendly URL" that you first should check if the stock osCommerce "Use Search engine Friendly URL's" works. This is because if the standard "Use Search Engine URL's" do not work or throws errors, the "Search Engine Friendly URL" will not work/give the same errors. The Ultimate seo urls does not use the osCommerce "Use Search Engine Friendly URL's" functions so its not necessary to to that test in regards to that contrib. wendylin
I got a strange problem, still, i have installed the contrib step by step and the result is: the product name : abc and the url is changed to http://myweb.com/abc/ but if i click, it says that "The page cannot be found"; and, the most strange thing is: the product name : (null, do not have a name) and the url is changed to http://myweb.com// and i click (and thinking that it would say "the page cannot be found"), however, the page with product introduction appears. how come??? i need your answer urgently, please! wendylin
BlueYon: you said that the .htacess normally is the problem with the missing page. but what may be the problem in .htaccess, which leads to this error? i actually have little idea about this file, so it confused me

Guest
Hey, For anybody wondering (present or future ;) ) The problem on my site was that I didnt have RewriteBase / In the .htaccess of my site. I still have a problem though, the sub category list isn't showing up on category pages. For example: http://www.omarskicks.com/Nike-Air-Force-Ones/ http://www.omarskicks.com/index.php?cPath=81 Anybody know what could be causing this? Thanks. baluvee
You don't need rewritebase if your site is in root check your your html_output and application_top

Guest
HELP!!! I installed this contribution, kept getting parse errors, so I back it out and replaced all the files with my aoriginal ones, web site almost works, it's trying to force cookies, and even with cookies enabled, not able to process. I know, just go in and disable forced cookies... I would only now I can not get to my admin functions. I get urls like this: http://sweetdeal4u.bizdir_ws_adminconfiguration.php/?selected_box=configuration&gID=1&osCAdminID=d9fb6af447691caaaee9b22f0e07895f obviously the urls are being re-written in funky manner. I have replaced all files that I had used in the instalation of this contribution, and can not find any reason for it to be re-writting my admin url's. My catalog url's are producing the old way...ok. Just the cookie problem there. Any Ideas on how to fix this? Can't even run my back-up, cause I can't get to admin. HELP!!! ChocolateTeapot
File not found... on local development machine. I've got this contribution working on my website, thanks for the contribution, but I'm struggling to get it working on my development machine, win xp, apache 2, php 4. Locally I have multiple websites under htdocs which I think is the problem. The site I?m trying to get working is htdocs/teapotphp/index.php. I?ve changed my httpd.conf to AllowOverride All, restarted apache. My htaccess is RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*) index.php RewriteBase /teapotphp/ The message I?m getting when I click on a product category from index.php is The page cannot be found The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. ________________________________________ Please try the following: ? If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly. ? Open the localhost home page, and then look for links to the information you want. ? Click the Back button to try another link. ? Click Search to look for information on the Internet. HTTP 404 - File not found Internet Explorer The URL on this page is correct in the it shows the URL friendly path. I?m not familiar with htaccess, I?ve just followed the directions that I?ve found on this topic. I hope I?ve given enough information. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Any assistance would be gratefully received. Another option would be to easily disable the contribution as I don't need it to work locally (although I would like to understand where I'm going wrong), I just need to be able to locally preview design changes that I make. I've tried setting 'enable search engine friendly urls' to false in admin but that means that clicking on the categories takes me nowhere. Thanks for any help.
