Loosing Sales -Customers not being taken to Paypal

Today for some reason everything went "screwy" with my checkout. Customers are loading things up intheir carts, clicking to proceed to Paypal and instead of being taken to a page within Paypal with all the order info they're just being taken to Paypal's home page. If the customer clicks "Back" in their browser and clicks on the proceed button a second time then they are taken to the correct page. Any ideas out there as to why this is happening? We've just launched and are loosing sales so any help is greatly appreciated.

Problem is now solved. On the off chance someone else out there has encountered something like this the problem for us was:

We're not using the payment page, so the payment selection was not being set...

We've now got a url parameter of payment=paypal_ipn and that seems to have cleared up the mess.

So nevermind... :-"
