Guest
This is possibly one of the nicest oscommerce shops...in my opinion. It looks damn professional! GJ!
chooch
its a nice site, the only thing is there is too much info on the screen at any one given time. the site is definately professional looking and not like the other sites based on the original oscommerce template. well done Upon receiving fixes and advice, too many people don't bother to post updates informing the forum of how it went. Until of course they need help again on other issues and they come running back! Why receive the information you require in good faith for free, only to then have the attitude to ignore the people who gave it to you? There's no harm in saying, 'Thanks, it worked'. On the contrary, it creates a better atmosphere. CHOOCH
virose_pt
One question: What .php file did you change in order to put images in the main page (the 3 images that you have)? Thankx
Recidivist
One question: What .php file did you change in order to put images in the main page (the 3 images that you have)? For this I have changed /includes/languages/english.index.php and have also added a new include which is called in by index.php and which holds the DIV tags and image urls I've used for those 3 images. It just makes it easier to follow and update.. KB Network Webcams - The IP Camera Specialists

It just makes it easier to follow and update.. KB <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Are you saying that: 1 - you made a new .php file, like indexmainpage.php and put the images on it? Did you copied the code from another .php file? 2- in index.php you put an include command to call the new indexmainpage.php file. Is that it? snakerboy
I also think your left and right columns are slightly too wide - you're losing valuable real estate! Cut them back and add the extra whitespace the main content, let it breath a little bit more.
Guest
Build it and they will come. :) Nice site, the question I always ask, are you making sales? That is the true measure of a good site. There were a couple of good suggestions in the thread and would reinforce the one about rethinking your header space area. This is valuable screen real-estate and could be used more effectively on your site. Otherwise great job and the bottom line is always. Are you making sales? marcanthony
Hi all, It's been a hard slog but I've now just made my store live: www.networkwebcams.com I'd really appreciate any feedback on it. As you can see I've made a LOT of modifications to the store, and I've used a few contribs as well. I can provide a list of contribs used if anyone's interested. Anyway, feedback most welcome! KB <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I like your store it look great, wish you luck and a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$$$ check my to see what you think Enter Here
wilfy
I live in Teesside. The county of Cleveland no longer exists as Cleveland. I can only register by registering an incorrect address, if I then make a credit card payment the avs check would fail (if you use avs). regards F5 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> same as Avon dude, Its now split up into other counties. I apparently now live in North Somerset (has been like that for quite a while by the way) you also have City of Bristol, Bath and East Somerset and South Somerset as well I think
Recidivist
Otherwise great job and the bottom line is always. Are you making sales? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks. Yes, we are making sales. Our sales are high value and niche market, so all the better for that. Even better, though, is the site's been a great vehicle in bringing enquiries and business to our business-to-business site. I totally understand re the header, and it's on the (long) list of improvements - as is doing something about our 'county' dropdown <_< KB Network Webcams - The IP Camera Specialists
