Updating installed modules

No matter which part of the module section I am in, when I edit then click update on a module I get the following error

Warning: Variable passed to each() is not an array or object in /home/hsphere/local/home/control/yourekidding.biz/admin/modules.php on line 46

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/hsphere/local/home/control/yourekidding.biz/admin/modules.php:46) in /home/hsphere/local/home/control/yourekidding.biz/admin/includes/functions/general.php on line 18

Ive been playing with it for about a week now and I just cant figure it out, I even went as far as replacing the original modules.php and deleting all modules that had been put in, went back to just one module and tried to update with the same error. I cant find any white space and I cant see any probs in the database and I dont know what else to try.

It didnt matter what module i tried to edit, eg shipping/flat_rate, when I edit that particular module and click update it would give that error, same with payment modules and order total module, anything in the module section of admin.

None the less I fixed the problem, it turned out to be the prescense of configure.php in admin/includes/local/

I removed this file which was called by application_top.php if it was present. Removed the file removed the problem and all is well now.

This prob was hard as the errors start u off looking for white space, the parse problems, was very frustrating when i replaced all the files in the modules sections with originals, then ones from another online store I have and it was still broken. Hope this helps anyone else striking a similar issue.
