1 item needs free shipping

Hi all,

I'm needing a wee bit of help if anyone can...

I have a store set up and have set 1 shipping module up, it's a per item rate for all the products.

The problem I have is that I have one item in the shop that is a service as opposed to a deliverable by post.

I can't for the life of me work out how to constantly make this item have no shipping fee!

If you buy it on it's own, there is no shipping fee but as soon as another item item appears in the checkout, it adds 2 lots of shipping (ie; 1 for the new item and one for the free shipping item)

Can anyone help me

Cheers in advance

Colin

Hi

Here is how I do it, I set the products that need free shipping to 0kg.

Then in the shipping table, I set the cost of shipping for 0kg items to 0.

0:0,5:5.70 etc etc

Hi,

I have been looking for the way to do Free Shipping also.

I tried most of Contributions of free shipping and they do not work for me.

If someone out there know abut it, please help me too.

Hi

The shipping table is in Admin > Modules > Payment > Table Rate (or Zone Rates).

Using these menthods, the shipping charge is calculated based on weight. You have to make sure that all other products (in the catalogue) then have their weight listed (incase this is not done), and your free shipping product has a weight of 0 kg / pounds or whatever weight measure you are using :)
