dreamscape
A drop in quantity discount module. It allows you to specify the discount percentage or flat rate based on the number of items bought. This is not products_id based and is site-wide. Any combination of items will work as it runs of the total number of items in the cart. Please post support & questions for my Qty Discount module in here. But I just found out that although the discount is included in the total when the customer checks out, paypal didn't recognized that. So basically the buyer cannot get the discount at all if he pays via paypal. In paypal, it shows a before-discount total. could you please fix that? thanks so much.

kara
Can you tell me if this will work for me? I need to set different discounts for different categories of products depending of the quantity of products of the same category that are bought. My english isn't perfect at all, so just in case I don't explain it very well... Category A 10 products Category B 10 products Category C 10 products If I buy 10 products of Cat. A I get a discount, doesn't matter if they're all the same product or not. The same with B and C. And I need also to set different discounts depending on the quantity, 1-0%, 2 to 5, 5%, 6 to 7, 7%, 8 to 10, 10%, more than 10, 12%. Can I do it with this module? Thanks all
Guest
Good day, I have installed both of the ot_qty_discount.php files to my catalog, and enabled the feature in the admin control panel. Sort order is not an issue, as far as I can tell -- the global quantity discount follows the sub-total, and precedes the total. "Discount Rates" is set to 2:10 -- yet the 10% discount does not appear when 2 or more items are placed in the cart. Any ideas as to what might be going on, and how it can be remedied, appreciated. Thank you. Lyceum (John)

MinkgLove.com
Would it be difficult to make this excellent contribution to work only on products of a particular category and/or a particular manufacturer?
JBenedetti
Is there a way to specify a minimum dollar amount that must be in cart for this discount to be applied? For example, if there are two $50-or-higher items in the cart, then apply the discount. But if there are 2 items under that amount, then don't apply the discount. Guest
Hello, I got this contribution working without a problem. What I am wondering is, is there a way that I can get the discount to display in the cart contents that are in the left column? (inclues/boxes/shopping_cart.php). Thanks for any info. Great contribution. Derek

macruddace
I have installed this module and it has met my needs exactly and is a great conrib. One problem... It seems that there is an error in which way it calculates the tax (VAT) or the total element or the discount depending on the settings. I can't get it to work so it's 100% correct, I have tried every setting with following results. For example.. Example 1 ------------------------- Settings Include Tax = true Calculate Tax = false Discount = 5% ------------------- 3 x dvds - price each (inc)8.99 - price each (exc)£7.65 - Total (exc) £22.95 - Total (inc) £26.97 Qty discount @ 5% = £1.35 (correct) Sub Total = £25.62 (Correct) Vat @ 17.5% = £4.02 (Incorrect should be £3.82) Total = £25.62 (Correct) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Example 2 ------------------------- Settings Include Tax = false Calculate Tax = false Discount = 5% ------------------- 3 x dvds - price each (inc)8.99 - price each (exc)£7.65 - Total (exc) £22.95 - Total (inc) £26.97 Qty discount @ 5% = £1.15 (Incorrect should be £1.35) Sub Total = £25.82 (Incorrect should be £25.62) Vat @ 17.5% = £4.02 (Incorrect should be £3.82) Total = £25.82 (Incorrect should be £25.62) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Example 3 ------------------------- Settings Include Tax = true Calculate Tax = true Discount = 5% ------------------- 3 x dvds - price each (inc)8.99 - price each (exc)£7.65 - Total (exc) £22.95 - Total (inc) £26.97 Qty discount @ 5% = £1.35 (correct) Sub Total = £25.42 (Incorrect should be £25.62) Vat @ 17.5% = £3.82 (Correct) Total = £25.42 (Incorrect should be £25.62) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Example 4 ------------------------- Settings Include Tax = false Calculate Tax = true Discount = 5% ------------------- 3 x dvds - price each (inc)8.99 - price each (exc)£7.65 - Total (exc) £22.95 - Total (inc) £26.97 Qty discount @ 5% = £1.15 (Incorrect should be £1.35) Sub Total = £25.62 (Correct) Vat @ 17.5% = £3.82 (Correct) Total = £25.62 (correct) So as you can see from the examples we just can't seem to get everything correct at the same time. I have some knowledge of php but just can't seem to figure out where the problem lies and we are desperate to get this bug fixed.. Many many thanks in advance. Kind regards Martin

tfoolen
It seems like this forum is not regularly used, but I will try it anyway: I have installed this contrib (easy...) and everything seemed to be working as it should. Only after the first orders I noticed that the Order Total in the admin-side is calculated incorrectly. The discount is calculated twice. In the front end everything works fine, the right amount is shown and -very important- paid. Problem is particularly nasty for my invoices: they show the incorrect amount, as does the Order Total on the admin/orders.php page. Anyone who can help? Don't have a clue what code should be related to this problem. Ciao, Tom
tfoolen
Still no reactions, but another question (solved the previous one myself):If the customer uses a discount voucher, two discounts are applied. Though I set the parameteras not to apply the quantity discount when the voucher is used. Anyone?
