How to format Order Process email?

Recommended Posts

The customer sees a good-looking site, places an

order, and then gets a really ugly "Order Process"

email. Is there a way to customise this?

  • How do I change the name from "Order Process"?
  • Is there code I can customize to change the layout of the email itself?
  • (And if so, where is it?)
  • Any chance of changing it from text to HTML?

If somebody could please point me in the right

direction, I would very much appreciate it. I've

gone through the directory structure, and just

can't seem to figure it out.

Thanks.

I haven't yet figured out how to change the

layout/structure of the email (can't find whatever

is controlling it specifically), but I did figure out

where to change the text.

The form that completes the order process (in

this case "catalog/checkout_process.php) has a

corresponding language file (as they all do) here:

  • catalog/includes/languages/english/checkout_process.php

In that file you'll find the text that will go into

the email.

If anyone can tell me how to rearrange things,

or to add new lines of text, that would be helpful,

as all this does is change what's already there.

Hope this helps future searchers, anyway.

... thanks, that gave me some ideas where to start off in this jungle ... ... and I actually could do some small adjustments to the order form without the risk of installing a contribution!
