vyoufinder
I have the UPS Choice contribution installed and using it. It seems to be working, but when a customer places an order, the rates are displayed, charged, and then when I go to ship, it costs much more than the rate which was charged by my website. Anyone know why? For example, I had someone place an order for an item which weighs 4 lbs. I actually have it in my catalog as weighing 5.5 lbs. and the rate they were charged was $9.10. when I went to ship, it only weighed 4 lbs., and the actual cost was $10.20. Ideas? How to fix? barbarshop
I'm having the same issue only UPS seems to mess up the weight. A product is supposed to weigh only 1 lb but it thinks it's 2 pounds. Jeremy
bbw
I'm also getting incorrect rates - they are too low. I have double checked my tare settings and percentage increase settings in the store configuration, and while they should be at 0, changing them does not seem to get me the correct rates either. Can I change the rates in the code by hand somewhere? Thanks! bbw <_<
Guest
have you checked in your admin section of the store for 'tare weight' you need to see what you have that set to. vyoufinder, your problem may be that you are not charging for residential delivery, you need to see what you are charging on the web versus what ups is charging you. mugitty
There is also a major difference (20-30%) between the rates for "Daily Pickup" and "Customer Counter" - make sure that you are comparing apples to apples Quote ... if you want to REALLY see something that doesn't set up right out of the box without some tweaking, try being a Foster Parent! bbw
Well my tare weight should be zero or it screws up the actual weight of the product. I have tried tho, to adjust it to see if I can achieve the proper rate of shipping and I have been unable to do it that way. Also, the percentage for larger packages should be zero and I have adjusted that as well to try and get to the proper rates for the products' weights - no luck with getting it perfectly accurate which is what client is shooting for. I have my other setting at regular daily pickup. I will confirm that this is the case with client, and go from there on that one. Thanks! bbw
bbw
Ok thanks for the suggestion regarding the customer counter versus regular daily p/u Mugitty - THAT was it! My tare is at 0 and my precentage increase is at 0 and I have the correct weight for the product and it is calculating perfectly since I changed to counter rather than regular daily pickup - had not ocurred to me to try adjusting that!!! Thanks so much! Brooke :D
vyoufinder
Thanks for the tries to help everyone, but no luck... My tare weight is zero, used residential delivery option, and also used customer counter (even though actually used daily pickup.) The contribution is not calculating enough, and no idea why.....ideas anyone? It will be GREATLY appreciated. bbw
I'm sure you have checked already, but is the origination zip code correct? bbw
ValleyRoaster
Are the UPS surcharges being charged to you by UPS but not being figured in your store correctly? I have this problem with rural addresses, I know when this happens because it is usually $1.75 higher when I process the shipment with UPS. I am just telling myself that its still a sale, better than no sale. Quote Life Is Too Short, Enjoy Your Coffee! Pete
aresman
Hey all, what's the code to use if I drop my packages off at a UPS box? I don't see the code there... Is that the same as a Letter Center (LC)?
