    [contribution] Simple Template System (sts)

    The error is telling you that you are missing some files or the file that it is looking for is in the wrong folder. The folder structure should me maintained as set in the contribution. For example, you should ftp everything inside of the STS folder, which would be the includes folder and everything in it to your catalog folder of your shop (http://mystore.com/catalog/). Then you need to either FTP everything inside one of the osc version folders (Files for MS2, Files for RC1, or Files for RC2) to your catalog folder of your shop (http://mystore.com/catalog/). Your catalog folder could be called anything from catalog, shop, store, or could be the very root of your domain such as http://mystore.com/.

    Check once again that you did upload all of the new STS files as well as make the correct code modifications to the existing osCommerce files in your shop. Tip: Use a good file comparison tool to check your modified files with the modified files provided in the contribution.

    Then you must have an incomplete installation. Try uploading all of the STS and modified files again as some FTP programs are known for being unreliable. Anytime you manually install a contribution that also provides the files that need to edited as well, it helps to compare the two to see where things may have gone wrong. Make sure you did not add an extra } at the end of that code segment. It should look like the following: eval('$keys .= ' . $value['set_function'] . "'" . $value['value'] . "', '" . $key . "');"); // STS V4.6 drop start } else { if($key == 'MODULE_STS_TEMPLATE_FOLDER'){ $dir_name = array(); if ($handle = opendir('../'.MODULE_STS_TEMPLATES_FOLDER.'/')) { while (false !== ($file = readdir($handle))) { $pos = strpos($file, "."); if($pos === false){ $dir_name[] = array("id" => $file, "text" => $file); $i++; } } closedir($handle); } $keys .= tep_draw_pull_down_menu('configuration[MODULE_STS_TEMPLATE_FOLDER]', $dir_name, $value['value']); }else{ $keys .= tep_draw_input_field('configuration[' . $key . ']', $value['value']); } } // STS V4.6 drop end $keys .= '<br><br>'; } $keys = substr($keys, 0, strrpos($keys, '<br><br>'));

    Also, did you try clicking on the "install" button? What happens when you do?

    [contribution] Simple Template System (sts)

    First, check for the obvious... 1. is the cart fucntioning properly without STS installed? 2. Can you install any of the other modules such as payment and shipping modules? 3. Do you have your configure.php files set correctly for a stable osCommerce installation? 3. What do you see on the catalog side, meaning, are you seeing your old shop prior to installing STS or are you viewing a STS template? 4. What version of osCommerce is your store? 5. What other contributions do you have installed and working properly?

    Just because you installed STS manually does not mean you shouldn't take advantage of the provided merged files. When someone tried to install it manually and then had proplems, they should take the files provided in the contribution and use a good file comparison tool such as Beyond Compare to compare with their manually modified files. This will show you visually where you may have made your mistake. Very fast and very reliable method.

    It appears you may have missed some of the admin files during the install. Use a file comparison to compare your files with those that came with the contribution.

Please click on the STSv4 Forum link below and then hit "Reply" to post your new question. I'll be happy to answer it once it gets to the STS thread.

    PLEASE DON'T DOUBLE POST. I replied to your previous request.... Why not ask in the STSv4 Support Thread? Quick answer: STS is compatible with this contribution. What makes you think it isn't? See you over in the STS thread.

    You've accidentaly uploaded the in /includes/application_top.php from the catalog to the admin. The admin doesn't use navigation history. Or, you should take a look here.

    At the moment, FTP transfers is the best method as there are plenty of folders and files associated with a template set.

    I answered this one a while back.... Insert Customer Name Post#4785 Ever want to add the customer name somewhere on your template page? Add the following code in your includes/modules/sts_inc/general.php file: $sts->start_capture(); if ( tep_session_is_registered('customer_first_name') && tep_session_is_registered('customer_id') ) { echo tep_output_string_protected($customer_first_name); } $sts->stop_capture ('customername'); Now add the new STS tag $customername$ wherever you want it in your template to output the customer's name. You could easily add it to a text line for example: Welcome $customername$ to our online store. Use CSS to style it anyway you like. Easy huh? And if you want to add text to the customer name to have the whole thing show up only when the customer is logged in: $sts->start_capture(); if ( tep_session_is_registered('customer_first_name') && tep_session_is_registered('customer_id') ) { echo 'Hello ' . tep_output_string_protected($customer_first_name); } $sts->stop_capture ('customername'); The above will print out the following only when the customer is logged in: Hello Bob Add any style you want in your template: <td class="pageHeading">$customername</td>

    Here is a quick fix for your checkout_confirmation.php file that is causing the problem with this particular template set (freeosc_009): Backup your website before making any changes. Download a copy of your current checkout_confirmation.php file and open it using your favorite PHP Editor. Find the following code around line 111: <!-- body_text //--> <td width="100%" valign="top"><table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> <tr> <td> <?php if (isset($$payment->form_action_url)) { $form_action_url = $$payment->form_action_url; } else { $form_action_url = tep_href_link(FILENAME_CHECKOUT_PROCESS, '', 'SSL'); } echo tep_draw_form('checkout_confirmation', $form_action_url, 'post'); ?> <table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> <tr> <td class="pageHeading"><?php echo HEADING_TITLE; ?></td> And replace it with the following: <!-- body_text //--> <td width="100%" valign="top"> <?php /* BOF: STS checkout page break fix */ if (isset($$payment->form_action_url)) { $form_action_url = $$payment->form_action_url; } else { $form_action_url = tep_href_link(FILENAME_CHECKOUT_PROCESS, '', 'SSL'); } echo tep_draw_form('checkout_confirmation', $form_action_url, 'post'); ?> <table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> <tr> <td> <?php /* EOF: STS checkout page break fix */ ?> <table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> <tr> <td class="pageHeading"><?php echo HEADING_TITLE; ?></td> Save the file and upload it to your server, replacing the old checkout_confirmation.php file.
