  1. Hello All, I have PayPal_Shopping_Cart_IPN_v3.1.5 installed on oscommerce-2.2ms2-051113. I am testing via the PayPal sandbox setup, but have been unable to get the sandbox to return an IPN. I am able to checkout, pay with PayPal, and auto-return to the store with an empty cart. But the stock is never updated and the order status is set to pending. If go into the osCommerce admin panel and look at the order, the following message is displayed in the PayPal Transaction Activity box: - No PayPal Transaction Information Available (order#...) I am able to take the order number successfully run it through the IPN Test Panel after the fact, but I cant get it to integrate with the PayPal checkout process. Can anyone provide me with some tips on how to troubleshoot this? I am totally in the dark and I am now about 2 weeks into being stumped on this. Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  2. Perfect - thats just what I needed to know! Thanks for your help Jack.
  3. Switch IPN Modules?? - IPN_v3.1.5 vs. Official v2.1 What is the difference between the "PayPal_Shopping_Cart_IPN_v3.1.5" and the "IPN Module v1.0 For 2.2MS2" modules? - Is one considered superior to the other at this time? I am working on a project that has the IPN_v3.1.5 module installed and I am currently having some issues with it. - Should I consider moving over to the v1.0 For 2.2MS2 version? - Would this be a tricky upgrade? I appreciate any input that you may be able to offer. Thanks.
  4. Posted in error - sorry.
  5. Hi Jack - Thanks for the reply! So just to be certain that I've got this right - I should be able to 'automatically' test the IPN via the PayPal sandbox? I am currently able run orders through PayPal sandbox, but the IPN portion of the process doesn't seem to be functioning. I can go in after the fact and use the IPN test panel successfully, but I have not been able to replicate the checkout process all the way through. I am just wanting to confirm that I have a correct understanding of how it should function in test mode before I go in and break it : ) Thanks again!
  6. Hi All - I am currently trying to test the PayPal IPN using the PayPal sandbox setup. Currently the process stalls after the customer is redirected to the store. The only manner in which I can get the process to complete is to go in and manually run the order through the IPN test panel. Is this normal? Is there a way to replicate the entire process from checkout through database updates using just the sandbox. Thanks!

    IPN Versions

Hello All - I have just picked up an osCommerce installation that has been dormant since last summer. It looks as though we installed the "PayPal_Shopping_Cart_IPN_v3.1.5" version of the IPN contribution. I don't see this version listed in the current contributions section. Should I upgrade? Is it tricky to do so? Thanks!
  8. Thank you Adam, I know I'll have more questions since I have never done any of this before - but I really appreciate you clearing this piece up for me. Thanks so MUCH!!
  9. Well, I guess I will tell you what I am trying to do and you can tell me if I'm barking up the wrong tree. From what I understand, my client has an online server from Quickbooks, they likely have the desktop version used for bookkeeping. The Online Application allows them to process credit cards. If I go to the Intuit web site they recommend several Web Store Providers (websitepros, goDaddy, homestead Storefront, ProStores, etc). I want to know if I can use OSCommerce instead... Am I high?
  10. Adam, I'm new to quickbooks and to oscommerce - but my client has the "Quickbooks Merchant Services" package - not the desktop application of Quickbooks. Does this new tool you've developed relate to the bookkeeping desktop application or the online Merchant package from Quickbooks? Thank you for answering what is potentially a remarkably stupid question from a newbie. Shelly
  11. I really hate to say this but I've given up. I am going to use my existing database and php pages with another shopping cart solution. Maybe I will try osCommerce again for another client - but I just got too frustrated with this import tool and I wasn't about to re-enter my products. I probably just don't understand the technology well enough, which will hopefully improve with time. Thank you for the help you guys provided. Shelly
  12. Jack, I have the same problem as iainsanderson. He seems to have solved it by downloading an older version. I would like to avoid that. Since I am not very experienced with databases, I'm a bit confused with the "not defined" piece. I've opened the database_table.php file and see all the table names defined - do I just need to add "EP_TEMP_DIR" into that list? Also - when I downloaded the copy of the database within the EasyPopulate admin interface, I open it to find the same results as fenyullow. I get this: v_products_modelEP_DELIMITERv_products_imageEP_DELIMITERv_products_name_1EP_DELI MITERv_products_description_1EP_DELIMITERv_products_url_1EP_DELIMITERv_products_ priceEP_DELIMITERv_products_weightEP_DELIMITERv_date_availEP_DELIMITERv_date_add edEP_DELIMITERv_products_quantityEP_DELIMITERv_manufacturers_nameEP_DELIMITERv_t ax_class_titleEP_DELIMITERv_statusEP_DELIMITEEP_DELIMITEREOREOR followed by the rest of the data... What I did was remove all the capital lettered columns and then added my data into the correct column. Tried to upload it and got the same error as iainsanderson: Warning: move_uploaded_file(/web/sites/impulse/buttonbling.com/catalog/EP_TEMP_DIR/template3.csv): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /web/sites/impulse/buttonbling.com/catalog/admin/includes/functions/easypopulate_functions.php on line 32 Warning: move_uploaded_file(): Unable to move '/tmp/phpGfOggN' to '/web/sites/impulse/buttonbling.com/catalog/EP_TEMP_DIR/template3.csv' in /web/sites/impulse/buttonbling.com/catalog/admin/includes/functions/easypopulate_functions.php on line 32 FILE_UPLOAD_EP TEMPORARY_FILENAME_EP/tmp/phpGfOggN USER_FILENAME_EPtemplate3.csv SIZE_EP19956 Warning: file(/web/sites/impulse/buttonbling.com/catalog/EP_TEMP_DIRtemplate3.csv): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /web/sites/impulse/buttonbling.com/catalog/admin/easypopulate.php on line 620 Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /web/sites/impulse/buttonbling.com/catalog/admin/easypopulate.php on line 642 Can you point me in the right direction please? Thank you!
  13. I am trying to download the sample database -or whatever it's supposed to be so I can copy my existing prodcuts into it - I'm on a Mac - OSX, I click the "DOWNLOAD_EP_2COMPLETE_EP" link - and get a .txt file. When I open it - there are no delminations - no commas, no nothing - just a sh!t load of data. How am I supposed to use this as a template to add my stuff to it - Been at this this awhile now. Can someone help please?
