nope, not yet. "porting" is not an option unless i find someone familiar w/both the OSC architecture and the FedEx API -- hence my last post! getting up to speed, even for some of the hotshot database/PHP guys i know, would be enough to break the bank, esp. as this is really the only tweak that i need accomplished.

One of my clients needs to be able to tag certain categories of products as "Ship-Separately" so that FedEx will generate separate quotes... FedEx support suggests that this should involve not much more than the addition of an "if" statement to the module's code, but most of the developers with whom I work would require a great deal of time to get up to speed on both the OSC and the FedEx API, which would take us VERY over budget. Is there anyone on this forum who is conversant enough with both and has enough time to do the work (or who knows of someone who fits this description)? I would welcome any quotes... Thanks.

if i remember rightly (i ran into this early on), this might be a result of setting a maximum weight for shipment? been so long since i posted this without reply that i can't remember where, but start with the fedex module first. looks to me as if the weight limit was someone's way of finessing the nultiple-pacakage issue for their own needs. if you DO get a separate-package solution, please let me know! d

No really useful feedback on my issue with FedEx realtime module, and I really do need to find a solution. Is there a listing anywhere of people who might be willing to help me tweak it so that i can designate products to ship in separate packages? Not under a deadline yet, and budget is small, but it would be to m,y benefit to solve this. Thanks!

My client ships Christmas trees, ornaments, and accessories. As a rule, each item must be packaged separately. There doesn't seem to be any admin provision for this. Am I missing something? Is there a way of accomplishing this?

I've installed the FedEx contribution for a client who ships oversize product -- Christmas trees, to be exact -- via FedEx. Due to the size of the packages (up to 9 feet in length), we need to be able to access the OS1,2, and 3 rates for oversized shipments... and due to the weight of some of the packages (some in excess of 70 lbs) we need to be able to switch from Home Delivery (inder 70 lbs) to Ground (over ditto). I am code-challenged. Is anyone out there familiar enough with the Fedex API to help us? I know that with the standalone Shipping manager software the client has been using, the adjustments are made automatically, so I am assuming the potential exists in the API. Thanks in advance....
