    Advanced Sales Report

http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/9044 Advanced Sales ReportIn the install instructions for 'catalog/admin/includes/boxes/reports.php' it says to change code in report.php file Find following belore: array( 'code' => FILENAME_STATS_CUSTOMERS, 'title' => BOX_REPORTS_ORDERS_TOTAL, 'link' => tep_href_link(FILENAME_STATS_CUSTOMERS) ) Add just before: ,array( 'code' => FILENAME_SALES_REPORT, 'title' => BOX_REPORTS_ADVANCE, 'link' => tep_href_link(FILENAME_SALES_REPORT) ) However I don't have any of the above code in my file. I have tried adding the code, but I get errors, so wondering if anyone has a report.php with it in that I can copy/see what's what please? I did wonder if this addon was part of another addon, but I can't find any reference to anything else. Thanks in advance for any help and careful guidence. Yep, I'm not a coder coder, but a copy and paste coder.
  2. I've tried several addons, but none deliver what I'm looking for. Can anyone point me to a suitable addon that will give me a report of sales by customer between set dates please Thanks in advance.

Sorry William, clearly missed your post with the concerns of the version. With the above, I get.. Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ',' in /home/site/public_html/store/admin/includes/boxes/customers.php on line 30 With the second suggestion, I get.. Warning: require(includes/template_top.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/site/public_html/store/admin/exportorders.php on line 34 Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'includes/template_top.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/site/public_html/store/admin/exportorders.php on line 34 This line says <?php require(DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'template_top.php'); ?> It would appear I don't have the template_top.php file. Going to have a look at Jacks first suggestion to see if I can get any further with that. Thanks for your input.

Wanted Sales by customer by time (year/month)

Ha ha, good question. Its heavily modified and first install 2006, so what ever version was around at the time. 2.2 I think.

Hi guys, Thanks for the leads, very helpful. As usual with my very old set up, the install instructions never quite match my system. The instructions says... Here is what I've got... Can anyone advise please? Jack_msc Perhaps this is the time to add your upgrade, so long as its not over complicated (sorry for being such a wimp, but I'm not a coder). Thanks in advance.

Hi Steve, Only saw your post, after I posted that I'd got it sorted. However thanks for your input as well.

Hi Jack, thanks for your help, I got Jimmy at Toucher Web Design to fix it. He found your comments helpful and was able to sort it quickly.

    Advanced Sales Report

Thanks for your reply, sadly your reply has gone right over my head. So what your saying is that the add-on is too new for my (probably) ancient version of OSC (its about 9 years old and heavily modified). Would it be a relatively easy fix for someone who knows what they're doing? As I said, ... Yep, I'm not a coder coder, but a copy and paste coder.
  12. Hi Guy's. Please bare with me, its been about eight years since I set my site up, so have forgotten most of the terminology and what add-ons I've installed. I need to supply a spreadsheet of my products to a 3rd party with the following information Product code Product description Image location URL Product location URL The product image URL was easy, I just added http://www.mysite.com/store/images/ before the image name. real easy in a spread sheet However its not so straight forward with the product page URL as I have an add-on that creates a search engine friendly URL (sorry, can't remember what it was called), such as http://www.mysite.com/store/blank-widget-panel-p-8513.html The product code would be something like MLD-blank_widget As a temporary URL I could use http://www.mystore.com/store/advanced_search_result.php?keywords= Then add the product code at the end, but I'd prefer a URL that goes direct to the product description page. Can someone help me out please? Thanks in advance :) PS. I have about 3K of products, so don't want to manually go through each product to get the URL
  13. A little progress... I've now found a file in mysite.com/store/feeds (store = catalog) This file does have a lot of suitable information, however only about 900 products are listed. Is there a setting I can change somewhere perhaps?
  14. Hi Jack, Thanks for the heads up on the google feeder. I may have to opt to get you to install it for me as I get errors as per the following.. Warning: fopen(feeds/your-outfile.txt) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/mysite/public_html/store/admin/googlefeeder.php on line 553 Warning: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/mysite/public_html/store/admin/googlefeeder.php on line 554 Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/mysite/public_html/store/admin/googlefeeder.php on line 555 Warning: fopen(feeds/your-outfile.txt) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/mysite/public_html/store/admin/googlefeeder.php on line 553 Warning: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/mysite/public_html/store/admin/googlefeeder.php on line 554 Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/mysite/public_html/store/admin/googlefeeder.php on line 555 Warning: fopen(feeds/your-outfile.txt) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/mysite/public_html/store/admin/googlefeeder.php on line 553 Warning: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/mysite/public_html/store/admin/googlefeeder.php on line 554 Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/mysite/public_html/store/admin/googlefeeder.php on line 555 Warning: fopen(feeds/your-outfile.txt) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/mysite/public_html/store/admin/googlefeeder.php on line 553 Warning: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/mysite/public_html/store/admin/googlefeeder.php on line 554 Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/mysite/public_html/store/admin/googlefeeder.php on line 555 Warning: fopen(feeds/your-outfile.txt) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/mysite/public_html/store/admin/googlefeeder.php on line 553 Warning: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/mysite/public_html/store/admin/googlefeeder.php on line 554 Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/mysite/public_html/store/admin/googlefeeder.php on line 555 Warning: fopen(feeds/your-outfile.txt) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/mysite/public_html/store/admin/googlefeeder.php on line 553 Warning: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/mysite/public_html/store/admin/googlefeeder.php on line 554 Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/mysite/public_html/store/admin/googlefeeder.php on line 555 Warning: fopen(feeds/your-outfile.txt) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/mysite/public_html/store/admin/googlefeeder.php on line 561 Warning: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/mysite/public_html/store/admin/googlefeeder.php on line 562 Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/mysite/public_html/store/admin/googlefeeder.php on line 563 Feed contains 3251 products. Then I get lines of product urls (only). Can you advise please? Thanks :)
  15. Thinking a bit more, I used to have a php page that generated a list of all products, but as more and more product got added, it became far too large for anyone to use. I'll have to have a look through my old backups to see if I can find it, and hopefully re-work it.
  16. Ha ha.. I really don't mind which way we do it ;) and thanks for taking a look at my problem. I've used Easy Populate to create a basic file to work with in Excel Sorry, no This currently is a one off, but there may be others in the future The spread sheet is going to be used to set up product details on another site, but with links back to my site. There are around 3,000 products, so keen for a reasonably automated way to gather the info together I have looked at the sitemap.xml file to see if I could match the two sets of data in some way. I can't remember how the xml file was generated though :(

    Find Customers by Product

Great module. I like it :) I've found it does not like long product codes, how can I get it to search for longer product codes please? Also, it would be good if it searched for wild cards. Would that be an easy upgrade? Thanks :)
  18. I've tried several add-ons, but not found what I'm looking for, so asking for help please? I need to be able to search for customers who purchased a particular product, or search for orders that contain a particular product. Can someone suggest a method or a suitable add-on to acheive the above please? Thanks in advance

Admin interfaces, what are you using please?

@@bruyndoncx I have considered your idea before, however I've done soooo many modifications and tried many contributions that have not worked etc. its going to be easier to start again. Some of the contributions I had tried put huge amounts of server load on the server I very nearly had my site pulled. In those cases I had to get a professional to sort out where the excess loads were coming from and correct them. I think using a third party interface may save me a bit of grief by having a ready made solution on top of a sound system.
  20. I've had my install of OSC running for almost ten years without any real bad issues, however with web hosts wanting to upgrade their servers with new versions of php etc, its now time to do a complete new/virgin install with the latest version of OSC (This will help clean out reduntant files/lines of code). I've done many changes to my existing OSC install, with loads of instalations of various contributions. Unfortunately I never kept a list of them, however I think I've now got a list of all the ones I eventually ran with (tried many, not all were suitable) for my new installation. Clearly ten years is a very long time software wise, and on that basis I've become aware that there are a number of third party admin interfaces that link to my install of OSC via the database. These I'm hoping will already have built in to them the modifications I carried out to my admin pages. Therefore I'm wondering what other people are using please. Let me tell you about my store system. I supply *some* goods on a drop ship basis from multiple suppliers. I supply *some* goods direct from my stock/warehouse, or a combination of the two. Shipping charges are based on total products purchased, rather than separate shipping costs per supplier (An order can have products from multiple suppliers). Most products are ordered via the customers purchase, however stock for the warehouse is also purchased via a customer account which makes the stock count on the system meaningless. I have several customer groups to supply products at different prices (ie trade, retail). Hopefully you've read this far, so won't bore you any further, and look forward to reading your comments. Thanks in advance :)

    donations contribution

Been off to research the origin of this. The user name was Popthetop and I've found his website here - http://www.popthetop.com/ It looks like the OSC pages are down, however I can say the page used to allow you to enter your own amount, something like 12.33, rather than a multiple of 1. But at least you can now contact the guy direct. I'd be pleased to know how you get on. Steve.
  22. They're a hell of a lot better than any I've had before, and they virtually have no down time. No help offered, but I think my best move at present is to hand it over to a developer to install the latest version and carryout some other work that I need doing. In the meantime, thanks for the help you've given :o)
  23. I past your comments on to my host who said... I've not done anything else at present.
  24. Rather than try working with my version that used to work, I thought I'd try uploading the latest version which I discovered displays a lot more information on the front page to the version I had been using. I still get the '406 Not Acceptable' page as detailed in my previous post if I try to upload. However I can't now do a download as I get a different set of arrors all together, so have reloaded my previous version. Before reloading my old files, I did make a note of the information below... Before attempting to run the new EP, I get a load of text at the top of the page shown below 'categories_id']); } } } } if (!function_exists(tep_get_tax_class_rate)){ function tep_get_tax_class_rate($tax_class_id) { $tax_multiplier = 0; $tax_query = tep_db_query("select SUM(tax_rate) as tax_rate from " . TABLE_TAX_RATES . " WHERE tax_class_id = '" . $tax_class_id . "' GROUP BY tax_priority"); if (tep_db_num_rows($tax_query)) { while ($tax = tep_db_fetch_array($tax_query)) { $tax_multiplier += $tax['tax_rate']; } } return $tax_multiplier; } } if (!function_exists(tep_get_tax_title_class_id)){ function tep_get_tax_title_class_id($tax_class_title) { $classes_query = tep_db_query("select tax_class_id from " . TABLE_TAX_CLASS . " WHERE tax_class_title = '" . $tax_class_title . "'" ); $tax_class_array = tep_db_fetch_array($classes_query); $tax_class_id = $tax_class_array['tax_class_id']; return $tax_class_id ; } } if (!function_exists(print_el)){ function print_el( $item2 ) { echo " | " . substr(strip_tags($item2), 0, 10); } } if (!function_exists(print_el1)){ function print_el1( $item2 ) { echo sprintf("| %'.4s ", substr(strip_tags($item2), 0, 80)); } } ?> Not sure what to do next as it was all fine, but now landed with problems I wasn't expecting :(
  25. I'm having an upload problem with my EP. Everything had been working okay the last time I used it, which unfortunately was a long time a go (a year). I have verified the files on the server match the ones in my backup's which I saved when it was fine. I'm able to download fine, but when trying to upload I get a '406 Not Acceptable' page which says... Server details My EP version is - Easy Populate 2.76d-MS2 - Default Language : English(1) My desktop is running XP the same as last time EP was running fine My browser is Firefox 3.5.5 - newer version from last time, but I get the same problem with 3 other browsers (IE, Opera, Apple Safari) I've uploaded an older version of EP and get the same 406 error. My host uses 'mod_security' and have done for about 5 years. I've taken a look at my server log files, which says... Not sure what other information to add. Trawling through the posts, it seems others have experienced a similar problem, but have not found out how they made good. Can anyone help me with this problem please? Thanks in advance :)
